The whole Kalou thing seems to be a bargaining chip, like how we were used as one for Melo. Fior Played juve by using Arsenal made a bid closer to valuation. Now,Bordeaux seem to want and try and get more ,but they have nothing to bargain w/ Arsene was used and now he`s doing it to Jean-Louis Triaud.I love the bit where he said the players has 5 month before he can go free (cheeky)

If he gets Chamakh for free, great deal! The only setback would be the restriction for CL matches, since Chamakh would play the group stages for Bordeaux just like happened with Arshh

On the other hand, Arsene's cheekyness could anger Bordeaux and cause them to accept the offer from Sunderland.
 
Well if you did that he wouldn't come until next summer when his contract is up. Wenger means he can make a move for him in January as there would only be 6 months until the end of his contract and he's allowed to talk to other teams.

If we sold him for £31 mill - I would be deeply saddened and upset. If Alonso is going for over 30mill then Fab is worth much more. He has years left on his contract, so we should be going for top dollar and we don't need to sell him and we can't afford to sell him.

Moscow would be a bit of a nightmare travel wise, as would Timişoara. All the rest are respectable teams who could beat Arsenal if they catch us with our pants down. I guess Anderlecht would be the best outcome (just), although we did just tan Rangers 3-0 so perhaps Celtic?
 
Yah they could be very challenging matches. But hey at least you won't be facing Lyon or Shakhtar like you said. That's a bit of a relief. Fiorentina, Stuttgart and Atletico are just as scary tho!! And the thing you said about the travel thing, very true... so yah celtic or Anderlecht might not be bad...
 
On the comments they say its not true. But is he really injured again? I think he should just retire from football, he is just 100% Injured 4 life, every time he will recover he will have another one. This 2 year stoppage just killed his career.

Away leg first and I think that could be crucial. The atmosphere will be white hot up there and that can be the 12th man on some occasions. If we can come back with a draw or better I'm quietly confident we'll go through.
 
I don't think it is going to be that easy. Anything can happen at their stadium. They will be well up for it aswell. I am not as confident, we definately need to show them respect.

Arsenal should win given the gulf in class of the players, however I am sure Wenger and arsenal will be ready for a tough tie.

Remember Milan, Barca, Man Utd have all struggled at Celtic Park. It is how we play away from home that is our problem.

Beating Moscow 2-0 was our first European away victory for 6 years!

Looking forward to the games anyway.
 
Not an easy ride. The fact that Arsenal hammered the Scottish champions doesn't mean much because that was a pre-season match. Now Celtic will play this as the match of their lives and so Arsenal should too.

Nah seriously, it will end up looking quite easy at the end

0-1 or 0-0 at the park, then a comfortable 3 nil at the Emirates

Why?

We will give celtic a chance to have a go, like we alway doing the CL, once they get comfortable. bang bang boogie
 
rafa didnt want to sell alonso though they knew Barry wasn`t going to come either I mean we were short on 2 million from the asking price.Alonso didnt ask either for a transfer if memory serves me right.
