Arsenal Thread

IMO, Milan's not a bigger team, not playing CL this year, hardly finished 4th. It needs a complete reconstruction, the only goal for Flamini to me, is that he wanted to become part of that reconstruction during the years.
But it was the same with Arsenal, Wenger made the team according to him and Fabregas mostly, he could have been a key player just like Vieira back then.

which basicly means flamini went for money

Milan is definitely a bigger team...how many Cl's won Arseanl and how many did Milan win...right...

lol, a team's bigger than another one just because he's won more CL's...
I'd compare teams by their current budget and popularity, and by their GAMEPLAY quality...
We've got to admit that Milan hasn't been really shining like the stars of the CL...

I'm pretty glad Arsenal is the way it is, we'll see who wins a trophy in the upcoming years.

Yeah i dont think a club can be bigger or smaller just on the basis of how many trophies it has won. If thats the thing, then if Arsenal wins CL consecutively for 10 years from next season(i know its too much:-pp), but then would it mean that Milan became a smaller club. I guess both clubs are same, as both finish in top four of their respective leagues. Both clubs have good players. and Both have Beaten each other atleast once. So for me Both are Equal. Besides Arsenal is the 3rd richest club, but still it doesnt make it bigger than Milan. Its based on the League Standings for me atleast.

and about the show, man i would do anything to get his sister.:-pp

milan hasnt been shining in there own league at all lol:-pp

no doubt AC Milan are a classy Club their a respected club no question compared. I love watching their parties they throw very organize gatherings and their scientific laboratory workout facility are the best in the world, according to the Discovery Channel lol. I know Arsenal is a club coming out of it`s shell they `re becoming a very prestige club just need a few trophies :COAT:

Milan has recently won CL's...next year they won't play the CL but that's a one off...Bayern Munchen did not play the CL's either this season...i can assure you that most people on the continent consider Munchen a much bigger club than Arsenal...oh and i was a big Arsenal fan last season, because to me they played the best football in Europe...but Milan is a bigger club...much, much bigger...

I'd rarther play for Milan for several reasons:

1. More History
2. Famous Stadium
3. Larger and more passionate fanbase
4. European Pedigree

Looking at it from an overall perspective, Milan are definitely a bigger club. They have won more trophies, have a bigger fanbase around the world, bigger stadium, have always attracted bigger players etc etc. I could go on but being an unbiased fan, it is clear to me that Milan are a much bigger club, hell, they're probably in the top two or three biggest clubs in the world.

point taken it`s a pointless argument... players move on No doubt and sadly because it`s a dream you want to full fill , not always the best choice . AC Milan are big I agree and said before ,but people look on the lately platform not the History.. EPL is growing more bigger than any League of its Kind most 3rd World countries know Epl part cause the more foreigners you have playing that brings a connection to the league . EpL will grow so massive and rich it will make oil look like sand (stretch for argument purpose) the UK are the financial depo of the world w/ the money higher than any.

AC Milan may not be so attracting when there sitting 10th riches club behind ManCity a bit of a stretch ,but time and years will tell. In conclusion AC Milan are big and good and have history and 1,000 of trophies ,but Arsenal will grow and become big too, Like Helb said "it`s too noisy in London" :COAT:

arsenal have won a wealth of trophies domestically. ac Milan only have the CL to boast about. can someone give me a link to the total number of trophies both teams have won?

We've won the second most trophies in Italy after Juventus. We have 17 titles. In England you've got the league cup, FA cup etc. In Italy we only have the Italian cup. Anyway, lets just end this stupid debate. Big or small, we don't know why Flamini left and joined us. Let's just be friendly rivals :) We've done good business with each other in the past, so lets keep it that way.

each other? o yea I think we did buy viera off you. cheers for that :P

I think that Milan is probably a bigger club overall than any English club we have, never mind Arsenal.

Steaua has 23 championships, 21 cups, abt 10 supercups, 1 UCL, 1 European Supercup; finished 2nd and probably will play in the UCL next season. Does this make it a bigger club than Arsenal? or is it a smaller club due to smaller fanbase worldwide, alot smaller buget, and the 2 losses against Arsenal from this season?
Milan also lost against Arsenal, but it has the history and tradition, but we were all over them in the UCL.
Also Nottingham Forest have 2 UCL, and Arsenal none, whos the biggest?
No offence and don't get me wrong, I am an Arsenal fan and also a Steaua fan, but I wouldn't mix current form with the dimension of the club, nor would I want to live in the past, back in the day when...

Lets just forget Flamini! Damn! He's like that ugly chick who fucks well.
Is Nasri signing already? There's very few time left till the Euro starts and none of the promised 2 or 3 transfers is official.

IMO, I would sack Song, Almunia and maybe even Diaby.

well said. what makes AC Milan a bigger club? bigger stadium?bigger fanbase? what? the enjoy the same success has others minus CL. flamini went for money. its so obvious. to say he went because Milan are a bigger team then arsenal is ludicrous because arsenal themselves are a big decent side.

it would make sense if arsenal where a team that does not fight for league titles and/or participate in the CL for over a decade like spurs, mboro,Blackburn etc then you could say he went to a bigger club

To be honest I think they are right.

Foreigners didn't grow up wishing to play for Arsenal.

They dreamed of playing for teams like Ac Milan - Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool etc

They are all huge clubs.

Maybe we will get the future stars of football dreaming to play for us - If we are successful enough in the coming years.

But there is no doubt that Ac Milan is a bigger club than Arsenal - In my opinion anyway. Hopefully we will get there one day and with a bit of consistancy.

you judge Flamini from a different perspective. you automaticly asume that he has a conscience and is capable of feelings.
it's alot more simple. he just did what an honest back-stabbing, double-crossing, two-faced, money-hungry mo'fo' would do, that OM can testify to. give the guy a break. :)

p.s.: maybe AC Milan is a bigger club than Arsenal and Arsenal than Steaua, but for me the hierarchy is different.

Milan is on another level. Let's say Arsenal is a big club and Milan is a legendary club. That's the difference.

Even so, one can still question the real motive behind Mathieu's decision. He went to a bigger club which isn't living a good moment. They're not on CL next season. Arsenal will be, most likely.

If he thought solely about his career's future, he made a wrong decision. Milan had loads of legendary players before, such as Van Basten, Rijkaard, Baresi, Weah, Maldini, Kaka... just to name a few. In the rich history of AC Milan, Mathiew Flamini will be just another average guy. Whereas in Arsenal, he could have the chance of becoming one of the club's legends, of making history.

That said, he chose the offer that paid him a huge load of cash. Money talks, that's all there is to it ;)

United is supposed to have the largest fanbase in the world. Does it make Bigger than AC Milan then??

The basis to determine which of these clubs is big is difficult becoz both clubs have their pros and cons. If u have More trophies, we have more money.
Both have good players, both have large fanbases. Its very difficult to determine. For me Both Clubs are same and will always be the same.
