I Like the fact everybody doesn't give us a chance of competing for the title. It takes alot of pressure off. If injuries are kind to us this season I think we will suprise alot of people.

I honestly think if every team had their best eleven out on the pitch and we had ours we can beat any of them.

We have players that can finish the moves off now. Eduardo on paper looks like a goal machine - and with the chances we produce there is nothing to say he won't continue that. Van Persie is back and looking promising - if he can produce last seasons form then we are onto a winner.

The only area is defence we need another central defender. The african nations is this season and we need cover for Toure, Eboue.

Anyway I'm so excited about this season I think a lot of clubs are going to be alot stronger. I can't see any team reaching over 85 - 90points this season.
 
Eboue is not a problem as we will be playing Sagna at right back. I guess Either Senderos/Djourou will fill the void with Kolo going to Africa Nations.

My preference would be Djourou, but i guess Senderos has been looking good in pre-season.... at least until Drogba turns up.

I thought there was something wrong with Gilberto and Gallas is only captain until he gets back?
 
This is a kick the face for Gilberto who was brilliant last season as stand in captain.

I agree Gallas is experienced but what did Gilberto do wrong? Anyway I thought Gallas had shut up whinging recently and now I see why.

Arsene has made the wrong decision here imo.
 
One of the positives last season was Gilberto - he never pisses and moans and he did a great job at being captain.

Wenger gives it to Gallas because he wants him to stay and stop being a whiny bastard.

Rewards the bad and punishes the good.

Wouldn't be suprised if Gilberto got pissed off - I heard Juve wanted him. He is one person in our team that we should definately not get rid of yet.

Also read a bit in the mirror about Petit saying that Arsenals buying and selling policy is wrong. That if our young players get alot better, that we will sell them as we are a selling club.

Why oh why do our ex players take it upon themselves to comment on our club like that - and with complete bollucks aswell.

They need a dose of 'Shut the Hell up!!'

It pisses me right off.
 
I read somewhere we profited 13 million that sounds right w/ so many leaving and 3 entering...that is hard to swallow I fear the African Cup is going to effect us dearly :( We don`t play no one in the top 5 during that time so there`s a plus
 
Djourou is being loaned until January - we should be ok up until then hopefully. Doesn't the African cup start in Jan?

I think defence is our weakest area - we need as much backup as possible. Because there is no doubt there will be injuries.
 
AND ITS ARSENAL, ARSENAL FC THERE BY FAR THE GREATEST TEAM THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!! I was worried there for a bit....derby, birming and sunder all found the net vs a good side too
 
People are saying that we played badley yesterday? If it wasn't for their keeper we would have had about 4-5 goals.

The bloke off MOTD 2 said we won the game and didn't play well. If it wasn't for Lehman - It would have been a clean sheet, as although they had chances they were not like ours.

We had chance upon chance and we won - I thought it was a good game.

Anyway - Spurs lost and we won - I'm a happy chappy :-)
 
When he is supposed to be able to play? Is he out injured?

I thought Hleb had a very good game. He seemed very active and made many solid passes throughout.
 
Hleb did look good. Also Rosicky was shooting from long range and came very close a few times.

You can see our midfield is hungry for goals - that is a big bonus. If those two get any where near the amount of goals Pires and Ljundberg got for us - then we will be going great guns.

I don't know why Arsenal do shit like this. It Pisses me off!! They should be ashamed of themselves. He should have been the first to be told - even before Gallas. Its Disrespectful - Why would you feel loyal to a club that would do that to you?

Arsenal need to buck up their ideas and make players want to stay at this club. Little things like this make a huge difference to players.

If I was him I would be very upset.
 
Well said. Totally agree. Except I'd probably replace the words "Arsenal" with "Arsene" in your above post. ;)

Wenger needs to be blamed. No one else. Not even Gallas who doesn't deserve that armband. It was Arsene's choice and not only did he make what many of us think was the wrong choice but he didn't even have the balls to tell Gilberto about it! The guy found out from internet! :eek:

He made his decision about giving William the captaincy, that's his choice. He's the boss. That's fine.

But he should've told Gilberto at the very latest, about it face-to-face while at training or the many hours of the day and previous days they saw each other. But he didn't.

We can blame Arsenal football club but I think in this case, at least from the info we've been given, Arsene is the sole man to be blamed. Not anyone else.

Unless..... he told someone to tell Gilberto the news and they forgot :roll: which is not only unlikely but impersonal and that'd be a bad decision too.
 
I`m sure AW will set things right for Silva he`s delegating a lot lately and Silva is a reasonable bloke :D (I heard Dein was at the match on Sunday ) We need a win vs Sparta and put this to bed early and concentrate on Rovers...
