Yeah thanks for everthing David.

I just wish he would have retired after the FA Cup final, although he'll always be a legend in my book no matter what.

Yeah, Seaman had his flaws, but had LOADS of brilliant games both for Arsenal and England.

Good to see a fan of another team actually appreciates what Dave Seaman achieved.

all credit to ya mate. :)

It looks as though Wenger is looking to bag Defoe now United's attention has been diverted to another part of London.

Defoe is desperate to play for a big club and Arsenal are keen to sign a new striker.

Watch this space........

I think he would play well with Thierry. We are supposdely only offering 5million whereas WH want 8million. Has the right temperment to be an Arsenal great! ;)

Don't worry mate, im sure with the mess West Ham are in they'll accept 5million. :D

Defoe is quality - I`m gutted United aint still chasing him. It will be a great catch for Arsenal. I prefer him to Angel, anyway. He is English, too, and Arsenal need some British players, in my opinion.

Wenger denies Defoe interest

Arsene Wenger has played down speculation linking him with a move for West Ham striker Jermain Defoe.
The Arsenal manager insists he has no interest in signing the 21-year-old, despite reports suggesting he was preparing to table a £5m bid.
"We've not made an enquiry, we've not made a bid and we have no plans to make one," Wenger confirmed.
West Ham manager Alan Pardew has suggested he would be tempted by a sizeable offer for his star striker.
"The figure of £5m has been mentioned, but there's no way Jermain will be going to Arsenal for that," Pardew said.
"I don't want Jermain to go but, if he does, the money will give me a fantastic chance of building a team."
Defoe has been repeatedly linked with Premiership clubs ever since he handed in a transfer request within 24 hours of West Ham's relegation last season.
And this term, despite missing matches through ill-discipline after picking up three red cards, Defoe has scored 11 times in 19 league outings.

Former Hammers favourite Tony Cottee believes a move to Arsenal would benefit the 21-year-old and form a lethal combination with Thierry Henry.
"They'd be brilliant together and it would work well for Jermain, and probably England as well," Cottee told BBC Sport.
However, Pardew also revealed that despite the speculation, he has received no firm offers for Defoe.
"There's been no interest from any Premiership club with a bid. I talk to managers and he's discussed, but no more than that," Pardew added.

Oh well, that seems the end of that one then....

I'm glad, I've never rated him. Kanu will be playing at Villa and possibly on Wednesday. Bergkamp and wiltord should be recovered soon after, so in effect Defoe would be made redundant, especially since Aliadiere is already at the club. No point in getting him.

I would have liked to get him. Kanu and Wiltord are likely to leave in the summer, Jeffers isn't up to standard. So that would leave, Theirry, Aliadiere and Dennis. Bentley is coming through but we need some more young English players. I still think Defoe would have made a decent partner for Thierry.

As much as I don't like his lacklustre contributions, I have a feeling Wiltord will be staying. Maybe he can improve next season. Who knows? Kanu will probably leave, you're right, although I could still see him doing well. Dennis too, will probably retire. So that will leave Henry, Wiltord, Aliadiere and, what I'm hoping for is Papadopoulous, Quincy MD and Bentley getting more and more League games. I understand your concern for more English players in the squad, but I don't think Defoe is the right choice, and Arsene made a good decision.

Hey guys what do you know about this American guy Daniel Karbassiyoon who we signed not that long ago? I heard he's gonna be amazing.

From Arsenal.com:

Moritz Volz signs permanent deal with Fulham

Moritz Volz has signed a permanent deal with Fulham after spending the first half of the season on loan with the west London club.
The German youth international has played in 16 out of Fulham's 21 Premiership matches in the current campaign and has earned rave reviews for his performances at right-back.
Volz has filled the right full-back position following Steve Finnan's summer transfer to Liverpool and has helped Chris Coleman's team climb to sixth place in the Premiership.
Moritz joined Arsenal from German club Schalke 04 in the summer of 1999 and made two appearances for the first team during his time at the Club.
Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Moritz the best of luck for the future.

This is a shame but I trust Arsene, he obviously falls short of what it takes to become an Arsenal regular.

Sorry don't know too much, he has potential but I think he has been injured for most of this season (he has only played 1 game for reserves). If we can get him fit then he is one to keep an eye on.

I don't think it was a question of whether he was good enough, but I think Lauren is better and with Hoyte coming in in the youth ranks, it would always be tough for Volz to cement a postion. A good buy for Fulham.

In other transfer news, Frey might bet set for a move either to Arsenal or Chelsea (more likely, I think): http://www.skysports.com/skysports/article/0,,1-1119522,00.html

Parma have to sell, as you all know. Good move for either club if he makes it to England.

Well if he does improve and establishes himself as a first team player, I aint gonna be getting his name printed on the back of my Arsenal shirt. ;)

Speaking of Arsenal shirts, do you guys actually like that yellow away kit? I think it is disgusting . . . Henry and co. look like a bunch of fairies when they play in it! :D
