Haha Gunner, that shut you up you bastard bitch! :D

According to reports in Belgium, Premiership champions Arsenal are set to pounce for young Swiss midfielder Christian Schwegler.

The 20-year-old played in a friendly for The Gunners against the club's feeder side Beveren and clearly impressed manager Arsene Wenger (pictured).

The plan is for Arsenal to bag the promising talent, then immediately loan him to Beveren in a bid to gain additional experienced before returning to Highbury.

Schwegler, who plays for Swiss side FZ Luzern, is contracted till 2006, although it is unlikely the side could resist a bid from North London.

Wenger has an excellent reputation for signing top foreign talent and bedding them into his star-studded side, with Francesc Fabregas, Jeremie Aliadiere and Gael Clichy all in his current Gunners squad.

Ha ha, Who has seen the Arsenal shirt, with' You win some you draw some' on it.
I thought that was class :D
So, I thought i'd share it with you.

Pires has officially said that he didn't say anything about Vieira to Madrid. Dunnon about that really. Not too bothered, to be honest.

Pires7, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but you obviously didn't read my post correctly. Its a total piss-take of the whole situation.

he never mentioned mentioning he denied mentioning Viera mentioned he was leaving

hahahahahaha!!! Great stuff. I like the one leg bit. By the way, yeah, I do. Motorcycle accident July 17th, 1989, don't ask me about the passenger, its too painful...... its over now......Anyways, Anyone ever heard of lugs before? Surely there's somone out there who knows what i'm on about? Lugs anyone?

Lugs = Ears

When you guys play us 2nd game of the season, is it too equal the record or beat the record for so many games unbeaten?

We've got a brilliant record at the RiverShite.

*cough*
You play us 2nd game of the season. At Highbury. And the record isnt anything to do with us or the RiverSIDE. I was merely enquiring whether it was to break the record or equal the record. I thought you would have known whether you were home or away 2nd game in ;)

Ha ha I think we might have chance to break it tho Van unlike your lot, your nowhere near it, never have been either.

lol abit like you's in European football....

but yeah ya right, although your assuming we care about these sort of records, I prefer to look back at trophies we've won....

and as per your comments above, your nowhere near, never have been ;) :D

He he you can tell the season is back, Vann is on the warpath!! Fair enough mate your point is valid if you like looking in the past. I prefer to look at the present and the future. We are the Champions and 40 games unbeaten in the league, nuff said ;)

haha its a 9month banterfest!!!

how do you get 40 games though, theres only 38 games in a season??

Jose is back in the Spanish squad and quite right too!! Perhaps if he had been at Euro 2004 they may have done better.

Its their loss though and its our gain if you look at his pre-season form.

I have just heard a rumour that there is a Press conference at the Arsenal Training Ground at 2pm to announce that Vieira is staying.

This is excellent news if this proves to be correct. Lets hope so!!!

From www.arsenal.com (official site)

Club captain Patrick Vieira has ended the speculation surrounding his future by deciding to stay at Arsenal Football Club.

The 28-year-old midfielder has explained to Arsenal.com that he was considering a move after eight highly-successful years at Highbury, but in the end, his ties and love for the Club were too much for him to leave.

“I am staying at the Club,” Vieira told Arsenal.com. “I’ve spent the summer considering my future and a possible move to Real Madrid, but my love for Arsenal and the ties which I have here were too strong for me to break.

“I am proud to be captain of the Club and I’m looking forward to achieving my football ambitions with Arsenal.”

Patrick also wants to thank the Club for their patience and understanding during recent weeks and his decision is purely down to his desire to stay at Arsenal.

Further reaction to this news will feature on Arsenal.com following this afternoon’s press conference.

But it really should say...

'Real wouldnt offer me enough so i backed out'

Exactly, he doesnt want to play for Arsenal anymore its only cos of money that he's staying.

But still I'd rather see him play in The Prem!
