Yeh no doubt without Gerrard Liverpool would have had a awful seaon, Id love to see him in a Arsenal shirt the guy has so much passion and drive, I think a team like Real Madrid would be awesome with him in it!

I just read Mexes wont go Liverpool unless they make the CL spot, but what happend to all that news a few months ago about Mexes joining us??? Keowns gonna be gone and well I believe you need quality on the bench with injuries and suspensions and such so you think wenger should go for him???

Ps. I too was really annoyed and shocked with the images of Newcastle fans screaming and swearing at Cole, thought it was disgraceful......

Yep I agree although I couldn't see Gerrard at Arsenal yet, it would be wrench for him to leave Liverpool, he's LFC through and through. Heowever, he is a great player, he was everywhere on Friday, he ran his butt off. Shame he is part of such a shit team at the moment.

As for Cole, well mud sticks I am afraid, he will always be known as diver now whatever he does.

I rate Gerrard as the best midfielder in the world, he never gives up...
If he weren't at anfield reds would be about in the bolton position of the table...

What the wierd thing that some arsenal player put in their chests , specially Vieira...

ARSENAL_VIEIRA_130403.jpg

Maybe Vieira was drooling in his sleep while napping before the match. :mryellow:

Why don't any other players do the same thing?

Senderos made a comeback from lengthy injury on Tuesday - scoring the winning goal against Porsmouth, which is great. I'd love to see him get a few games as our season ends. If he's as excellent a prospect as he's been said to be, then we don't need to be buying any central defenders in the summer. Just a question of keeping fit and he can be third-coice next season, behind Campbell and K-Lo. Wenger could settle him in with specific games in the season.

Saw this on the BBC site so thought i'd post it. There has been a lot of Gooners a little bit upset after our treble dream died so I thought I would try and cheer everyone up. These stats rock:

Require a maximum nine more points (three wins, or two wins and three draws) from their six remaining games to be assured of a 13th English League Championship title.

Can afford to drop half of their 18 remaining available points and still lift the silverware.

With six to go, already amassed 78 points - the tally accumulated in total last season and in three of the eight campaigns since there's been a 20-club Premier League.

Won 23 and drawn nine in the Premiership this season.

Won 25 and drawn nine in the Premiership since going down 2-3 at home to Leeds on 4 May.

Lost just twice in 53 Premiership matches, winning 35 of them.

Dropped only 18 points so far. The least a title winning side has dropped in a 20-club Premiership is 23, the most 39.

The only remaining unbeaten club in the English League.

The Premiership's most winning team (23 matches - 13 of them at home), with the strongest attack (62 goals in 32 games), and the meanest defence (22 goals conceded).

Already 'doubled' Middlesbrough, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Wolves, Southampton, Chelsea, Blackburn and Liverpool.

Undefeated in 17 home League games (16 this season).

Won 14 and drawn three (13 wins, three draws this season) at Highbury since losing to Leeds almost a year ago.

Failed to score in only three Premiership games this term - fewer than any other club.

Failed to find the net in a League game at Highbury only once - the goalless draw with Fulham on 30 November.

Scored in 104 of the last 109 Premiership matches.

Achieved the longest winning run by any club in the top division this season (nine matches).

Won nine of 32 League games this season by a 2-1 margin.

Paddy and Thierry up for player of the year and Kolo for young player.

Would like to see a Gooner double but I think Wright-Phillips will get the young player award!

.... or try to get as close to Arsenal so they don't win by much of a gap ("Gary Neville").... :D:D:D

Well we should know mate.

I remember a few seasons back when we did the second of our Three in a Row, we beat you 6-1 in Feb and the league was over, seeing how pitiful you's looked must have struck a nerve with the United players thinking...

"I'll be fucked if that happens to me, if we're gonna lose it it wont be by much"

So yeah fair play to him, considering you's havent lost all season and we've been terrible all season the gap isnt that bad.

lol it made me laugh looking at all them stats cos I thought for all that they've still done feck all compared to other Great Teams.

but they do say that stats are the last resort :D

So if (and its a big if) we go unbeaten for the whole season, then we won't be a great team, yeah?

Also to say you have been "terrible" all season is laughable. If you had played terrible all season, you wouldn't be in 3rd would you? Plus you wouldn't be in the Cup Final.

Its just another attempt by a half hearted Manc to undermine Arsenal's teriffic record this season. No team from the modern era has even got close to going unbeaten for the season, and here we are standing on the brink of it. If we do do it, then the Mancs are gonna be well peed off cos we beat them to it.

exactly, your talking ifs, of course it will be a great achievement, doesnt make you a great team, The Treble or European Cup, even a third consecutive FA Cup would have done that (of course its only MY opinion).

Like I said for all the talk about going unbeaten, the gap isnt that big considering the season we've had...

Butatista not all mancs like to bring down arsenal ive got to put up with stuff like that everyday off my mates! and if united were so bad...(havnt they got more point than last season up to now?)

Yeah they may have I don't know. Sorry Jamie it must be a right shitter having us cockneys call Man Utd fans "mancs" when City are mancs as well. Thing is we all like City cos they have an entertaining manager, great fans (great stadium too) and the majority of their proper fans are from the Manchester area, unlike you know who.

Thats the thing with stats, they don't lie...;)

 I'm not saying they are untrue.

You've been breaking records for the past couple of seasons now, hats off to yous but your still along way off being a Great Team.

IMHO.

Yeah well Van, I think your talking out of your arse mate. But thats just MY opinion. ;)
If we finish the season by winning the title and being unbeaten, then we will be a great side, one of the greatest of all time if you ask me. Because we would have shown consistency that no one else has ever done in the modern era, and doing this with still having long runs in all the other competition (Semi Finals of the FA and Carling Cups and getting to the Quarter Finals of the Champions League) all with a smaller squad than both you and Chelsea. And that would just go to prove that you and Chelsea might have better squads, but we've got a better team.

thats all well and good but winning something you've won before but winning it in a "better way" does not make a great team, just an improved one :)

ya spot on about the better "team" though but thats to be expected all the players barring Reyes and Lehman have played together for a good few seasons so its no suprise.

Don't forget Toure. He's been with us less time than Lauren. ;)
