I think he should have started with the usual of Henry and Bergkamp, they just work soo well together. Then bring the talent of Reyes on. Recently, im sorry to say but Wengers choice of players have been shocking.

Putting Cygan on the left Wing aganist Manchester United?

Playing a player who just came back from injury in the biggest game of the season? (Aliadiere against United)

It was really quite stupid. Also, a few times he used Gilberto on the right wing when he had the opiton of Reyes who does not mind playing on the right.

Reyes is payin very well at the moment and in a game where the opposition has to score so will be pushing forward you will look to counter. The pace of Henry and Reyes should be frightening on the counter but things didn't go our way. C'est la vie. We can only lose the premiership, we just have to make sure we don't.

Lehmann can take corners and crosses quite simply, however his shot stopping is rubbish.

it sure was yesterday, but i still have lots of respect for him although he left us in dortmund in a pretty abrupt way. too bad for arsenal he doesnt seem to be able to catch up with last season

Chelsea are hard to break down though, its was going to be a tough job for Henry and Reyes. I mean Chelsea have only conceded 1 away goal in the champions league now, and still have a undefeated away record in Europe.

It was a season full of promise 4 days ago. Manchester United ruined the first third of it. Chelsea the second. Now its up to Liverpool and Newcastle to stop Arsenal. However, they are still undefeated in the league.

We have 8 games to go mate, I wouldn't put it past any of those remaining teams beating us. Saying that, Chelsea of course still go to Old Trafford.

Yeh, but i have a feeling you gooners will bounce back.

If we can get 4 points this weekend I think the title is there for us. I don't think you'll get a result at OT cause they are on the up again and will not want to see you finish above them.

Exciting title run in is all we have left now. If we win the title at Spurs we're gonna have a meaningless month till the euro chamionships!

Yeh, all my Arsenal fan friends are like crying under their beds, they were so cocky a couple days ago. Its nice to see you guys ahve got over the Champions League hangover.

HOW THEY RATED ACCORDING TO THE SUN

ARSENAL

JENS LEHMANN
A WORRY every time he came for the ball. Is now Arsenal’s Achilles heel. 5

LAUREN
SOLID, supplied cross for Reyes’ goal right on half-time. Booked. 7

KOLO TOURE
SOMETIMES dives in but commitment means he always recovers. 6

SOL CAMPBELL
NEVER shirks challenge, calm, assured. Won his bout with Hasselbaink. 7

ASHLEY COLE
INCREDIBLE goal-line stop from Gudjohnsen kept Arsenal alive. 7

EDU
INTEGRAL part of the Arsenal machine. Gets through a lot of work. 7

FREDDIE LJUNGBERG
SPENT a lot more time keeping Duff quiet than he would have liked. 6

PATRICK VIEIRA
NOT just a tackler — some of his passes took your breath away. 8

ROBERT PIRES
VISION sliced Chelsea apart. He started the move for Reyes’ goal. 7

JOSE REYES
NO ONE can call him a foreign softy. Took his scoring chance well. 8

THIERRY HENRY
WAS disappointingly subdued. Squandered a great early chance. 6

SUBS

Dennis Bergkamp (for Henry, 81mins).
Came on with little time left and could only watch in horror as the Gunners crashed out thanks to Bridge’s late goal. 6
Subs not used: Graham Stack, Martin Keown, Gael Clichy, Gilberto Silva, Kanu, Sylvain Wiltord.

Far too loyal. Henry and Pires deserved a 5 in my opinion.

6 has now become their average of sorts. The Sun's rating scheme is bollocks anyway.

If you want a more comprehensive and a hell of a lot more accurate summation of how Arsenal played (and can't make up your own mind), read Wenger's post-match reaction.

I noticed Pires went very central in the game, and hence the left wing action was slightly limited, but the truth is we started to play some right dire football in the 2nd half, it was like watching a team with no hope or direction, we looked lost, shame :(

Liverpool are worrying me, with a few wins under thier belt and maybe gonna be more physically stronger then us, then Newcastle are always up for Arsenal games!

On another note is it just me or does Roman look like hes on charlie sometimes???? I just cant stop laughing at his face.

WOW how did that happen...

"Wheres ya Treble gone, wheres ya treble gone"

lol even the fall of his pedestal didnt knock the chip off the kiddy catchers shoulder but at least he didnt blame the ref, other players, war in Iraq, weather or various other conspiracy theroies so thats one saving grace...

I really thought you's would win though, especially after losing to us on Saturday but I s'pose thats what seperates a good team from a great one.

now its looks like the team is once again losing its bottle...

The biggest week of Wengers career and he blew it, rested Henry for the FA cup semi to keep him fresh for the chelsea game and he got it wrong on both counts and he dint seem to be able to lift his team when it mattered, also all that money on Reyes and the team is no better than before...

Yeh, Arsenal were just outplayed due to the strong defence. But it was such a great game.

A more in sorts Henry would have caused you problems, Melchiot didn't seem great at the back and a couple of times when he lost the ball under pressure he just went to ground and got some fortunate free kicks. Anyways that game has passed, if you Chelsea want to dwell on it do so in your own thread. However just remember you hae won nothing yet!

It's worrying that we haven't won any of our last four matches, and the next four matches we have, were all games we didn't win last year in the prem.
