Anybody else playing this? One of the most atmospheric games I've played for a long time.

Yes I am and loving it. Especially how most of the community in Solo decided to just help each other. Had so many great interactions with proximity chat and kind of wholesome adventures. Nearly makes me believe in humanity again

I am really interested in this, but I don't know if as a solo player is a sweaty experience. I do not know exactly what is the loop of extraction shooters. Is it like the Division Dark Zone? I really didn't enjoy it as it would suck to just get ganked extracting loot and lose everything.

Bought it a couple of days ago.
Currently really enjoying it as something pretty different, playing with my mate most of the time.

If playing it during the day and early evening the game is much more enjoyable as people are pretty chill and it is great teaming up with other people to take down the bigger mechs.

But then at night (they mostly come out at night, mostly) the trigger happy Yanks join the game and all of sudden it goes from a PvE, lets help each other out to PvP all out warfare - Exactly what happened with DayZ mod when originally released, went from PvE game to everyone shooting on site.

The game is no doubt at it's absolute best when you bump into people and help each other loot and take down bigger enemies.
It is a different type of game and really enjoyable.

Only issues is that I think I am probably about 5/6 hours into the game and feel that in 5/6 hours time will probably had enough of it due to lack of maps and content.

Also word of advice.
Only ever wear your original, I am Noob clothing anything that isn't original clothing is a label stating 'Please shoot me on site'

New map was released earlier today.
Has a couple of new enemies, mainly the shredder which are an absolute pain to kill.

Have noticed now more and more people are shooting on site.

It is only seems to be single player servers now which don’t have that policy.

Here is something for people if you are getting tired of the game which has become PvP in the past few days and sick of exit point campers.
As this is something that started to ruin the game for me, as I am old and prefer to play PvE with mates and take on the bigger ARCs like the Bastions and other ones.

However, in the past 2/3 days the game has now become full of people who spawn and then don't loot themselves and just camp at spawn points, so they can get easy loot.
It has also become a shoot on site game where there is no friendliness between players anymore.

However, I have found really weird, as thought is would be the other way round.
I play on PC and turned off crossplay (really strange), as someone on Reddit done some research and found PC players are actually way more friendly than console gamers. (I need to re-find the screenshots, as the player played 80 matches on each)
But anyway he found that in encountering other players PS5 players shot on site most of the time and people stated don't shoot and then shot you as soon as back was turned was 3 times more likely on PS5 than PC.

Was bound to happen as it gets more and more popular.
Especially on console where half the players won't bother with headsets (or even the "emojis" e.g. "don't shoot").

It's not been ruined for me and my friend group so far thankfully. Well, the worst incident happened last night, but it was quite funny at the time:

A friend was caught by one of the Wasps - I tried to save them but didn't realise I only had two bullets left. We got blasted to bits but I managed to run, run, run. Found a building. Ran inside, there was another player - who shut the door so that the Wasp couldn't see us and saved my life. I had about 2% life left.

I shouted "you saved me, thank you" - at which point he shot me in the head and took all of my stuff.

I realised afterwards that I was essentially a Deliveroo order. Direct to his door.

That's just called being efficient. Why waste your time and energy looting? Just sit back with a cuppa, wait until you hear the extraction alarm and then pounce. They've done all the hard work and you get the spoils. Perfect.

Joking, I don't agree with it or even have the game, I've just watched streamers play it. I understand why people would wait at extraction though.
