Anth's FC24 Gameplay Mod

only EA App to offline or when you are in game and servers are connecting?
I have the game on steam and it opens EA App too when starting.
Not sure how it works in combination with steam mate. I've got the game via EA App.
Once I've activated offline mode in the EA App, EA FC 24 automatically doesn't connect to the servers! Maybe you could try to open EA App and activate offline mode, before starting the game via Steam. If that doesn't work, you have to make sure the game doesn't connect to the ea servers in game. (Before loading into the main menu and when playing kickoff it also tries to connect)
 
Test V13 is dropping in a couple of hours on Patreon. Details soon, but there's a big change and although it's not gone, it's the closest I've ever come to getting rid of 1v1.

hi brother listen I tried your gameplay and it seems very very nice compared to v12 but I would like to know if you can fix the defense when I get attacked huge holes form I think it's the game so I hope you can fix it then I would like to know if I should play it with default slide?
 
Played quite a few games last night definitely see the difference between last release and this one all + from me at the moment realistic scores more fun in general thank you mate and people moaning about the knock on feature using R2 learn the game easy to fix control your players better I actually love it myself
 
After testing all 3 modes, id say medium pace is the sweet spot, balls a bit bouncy on fast and the play feels a bit clumsy all over. medium is nice id prefer the ball to move a bit faster but games are enjoyable and low scores like 0-0, 1-0 etc (Turkish league)

CPU plays very varity, shooting from outside the box, many crosses etc.

one problem for me : CPU has near no failed passes. This is my only thing i doesnt like.

for gamespeed :
its really fast for me but as i said, its a EA Problem.
when limiting in game to 90 fps its fine, 120fps is really fast and 60fps has the best game speed but for me to laggy when i normally play all games at 120fps stable

Thanks, glad you’re enjoying it! The error system is only very light at the moment. It’s to come next as it can have a very big impact on CPU behaviour in ways you wouldn’t expect, so needs to be done over a decent sample size to monitor it. Saying that, I still do see some mistakes from CPU at the moment.

wait a minute.... so FPS changes the gamespeed? Holy f***. IIRC i have it on uncapped or the highest one. Might this be the reason the mod seems faster for me that in the previews??

There’s a few things I’m working on regarding the CPU dropping too deep with certain teams/tactics. I’m not sure if that’s what you mean, but working on it. As you said, this is in the game from vanilla also. Positionally this is easily the best it’s been so far. No-one has spotted the major change yet ;)
 
Had a whole evening on v13. I'm not sure how it can get much better than this! This has improved on every single part I'd hoped it would, great work.
Especially enjoying how much more free the ball is and the 1st touch error is immensely improved, no more glue on the CPU's feet (Or at least nowhere near as much)

Ps: I know the net needs adjusting haha.

 
Great goal - the only thing that seems unnatural to me is that initial "floaty" lob up to the striker. I often find that a problem in fifa games, the lobbed balls are either ridiculously driven and pinpoint or they are like a balloon and completely kill immersion

Yeah always refining the ball physics. This version has seen a big improvement in overall trajectory of balls in the air and they’re generally much less floaty. Agree about the dinked ball. This particular pass I’ll work on for next version!

yes really strange thing with game speed, but at 60fps its way better with the speed
 
Great job as always Anth. I appreciate the new first touch errors but the running using the RS seems to be too exaggerated. Might be just me and need to get used to it. It also seems harder to beat defenders. Maybe I just need to get better :LMAO:

I’m with the guys on that ball going to far off when burst sprinting. That may need adjustment.

I've just taken a look and I'm able to balance out that double tap without losing anything else with the first touch! It’ll still be risk/reward and stats based though. Will refine and include in next version!

I would like to have more powerful ground centers.
I went to legend for the level for my part.
 
can someone send a clip of this double tap "problem"? i dont had it or i found it normal when going from jogging into full sprint (playing soccer myself) and sometimes the ball goes far away when going fast 😁

It’s just if you double tap sprint to knock the ball out in front, it’s been going a little too far. Taken care of for next version.

Meanwhile, anyone noticed what the big positional change is?! It’s definitely impacting your gameplay…

I've been playing with v13, I prefer normal speed but thats just my preference.
I like it overall, one of the main reasons is that it is harder now, harder to beat teams playing on the wing, but there relys the problem im seeing so far.
That is that the fullbacks are too wide sometimes, marking no one and the opposition wings are "free" between them and the CBs.
Maybe tuning this a little bit would be perfect.

The distances/spacing with back 5 formations need some refining and tightening a little (but still much better than before), so possibly this has been where you've seen it - working on that one.

Can't say I've had any issues at all with other formations (pic below shows a good space between fb and cbs for example). The distances change and adapt based on the position of the ball on the field and combined with other adjustments I've seen some really great things with this system that I haven't seen in a FIFA game with 1v1 ever - and believe me I've sunk countless hours into trying to achieve a more stable positioning and behavioural system since FIFA 20! CBs are covering much better, mids are dropping in and covering as well now. There's also some additional knock on impacts which really tighten everything up. This is far and away the best I've ever had it.

I'm planning on making a video to talk about it in more detail.

When i'm starting possesion, lets say from goalkick, and slowly building up the play, and the other team doesn't press, or they are waiting deep and my players get to their "right position", i found that their fullbacks are more wide than my wings (they defending with 4 on the backline).
It depends on the opp tactics of course, but with teams that dont press that high, im seeing that more often than teams that press higher or that put more pressure on the ball.
Not always happens, but in some matches i found myself attacking with my wings and the fullbacks are just there, watching the scene almost over the sidelines.
Tomorrow if i have some time, ill send you some pictures.

Because, at least for me, if that didnt happen, it would be just perfect. Even with this little problem, positioning is just much much better than ever before.

Thanks, I'll keep monitoring it for sure. Yeah PM me what you mean when you can. If it's what I think is happening then they're marking necessary space, but definitely send me something and I'll take a look.

Goal kick positioning is frustrating and not where I want it yet. I've done some things to help that area and I've tried to bring teams higher, but it hasn't worked as I think it did in previous years with this. I'll keep trying to address it.
