Anth's 23 Mods // Gameplay v6.0 Released

@Marlon Anthony Work on the through balls for the new update is coming along nicely! Consistency may not be exactly right - but there's some good changes under the hood to really improve them more often than not! You can now much more easily play through balls that go a lot further.

Regarding physicality, there's some very important reasons those values are set to how I have them in my mod and they play a big role.
Yeah, but what I mean is that the same thing you make making higher all the multiplier values, you could make it by amplyfying the base magnitude to the minimum common multiplier. Like is the same if you do 1000 *3 or 3000 * 1, and then you work with multipliers in scale of 1. Essentially, if you increase the base magnitude, there wouldn't be a need to increase ALL the multipliers, cause they multiply the base magnitude value, so if you make bigger the base value is essentially the same that making bigger all of the multipliers.

Yeah, I mean, I don't say that your take is wrong, I only mean that there's another way (or that's what I figure out from looking at the value names) of doing what you did, and I am just letting you know so that you understand how those values work.

Because imagine that somehow you one day accidentally modify Base magnitude number and for any reason you don't remember to update it on the changelog, or whatever, and suddenly when you go try the mod, something's off with the physicality and you can't understand why, since you DO REMEMBER that you didn't change the min max values, but you can't remember that you touched the base magnitude value. If you don't know how the system work, you'll be clueless, but if you do know how it works, first you'll do, besides checking the values, is checking also the Base Magnitude value.

So yeah, just letting you know, I think that the Base Magnitude value I hihglighted in the screen capture, is multiplied by those min/man values, and those values are then probably compared, the one from the player that is barging, and the one of the player that is barged, and a result comes out from there.

Watch out, that's my interpretation of how the system works, I also don't know which result come from the contact, or how to change it or mess with it anyway, but I do think that this is how the system works.
 
Hi, why your mod ruined other mods that add new leagues as EEP? It make that on the new leagues only 3 teams. I see this on the first time with gameplay mods
What exactly you refering about? You make that post without any detail explanation what´s happening with your mods/Game?! I also play since the release with Slim´s EEP and additional with @Anth James mod. My load order contains around 60 mods(many single face mods of course) but no one interefer with the other. I can confirm the gameplay mod here didn´t have a single impact of EEP´s league structure, though. Maybe you can provide us with a little screenshot of your mod manager´s mod order please?
Do you double checked that when you launch your modded game and you are in game menu that you go to Squads tab and select the EEP Squad File? What you are mention often happens when a Squad File is not loaded.

I am playing with EEP and noticed no issues. The mod load manager might be doing some weird things.
 
at slowpace game, there's a long delay at sprinting when you dont have the ball. If your player control the ball, he can sprint right away

Yeah the mod isn’t designed to be played on slow pace at all. It’s in the instructions. It’s on a knife edge balance on normal pace. In almost every way the game speed is modded to be slower on normal anyway.

Update could be a little bigger than I had originally planned. Ironing out a couple issues/trying to improve some other things at the moment and it's proving to be a little difficult. I'll keep you guys posted.
Take your time, Man. No need to hurry. Good things always needs their time. Anyway, during your tests... did the aimed goal interefer with some of your edits you made so far? Too improve one part of a mod could cause issues with another. But that´s a clueless question, though. :))

Not a bad question at all as it's very, very easy for that to happen. FIFA is such a strange one, sometimes the slightest little change to one area, creates some weird behaviour in another area that you would think has nothing to do with it! In this case, it's not quite that. I'm fixing a little issue but the solution is not as easy as I had hoped, so could be a while.

what I really really like is the speed and physics, overall and from the ball plus the use of shielding (on both sides) and nerfed sprint aspect.
this is what I always liked about football video games… when it gets dirty and close and body to body and finding a gap… the chess aspect of football… when creating a sporty/football solution for a problem rather than being quick with the sticks and buttons…😊

Thank-you, really appreciate the comments man. I'm glad you've noticed the physical aspects of the gameplay too. I made some fairly good discoveries in this regard as to why players weren't always interacting with each other/or as often the way they should.

I just love to use (my) R2 to shield the ball and find a way out… like back in the Konami days. If that’s allowed to say. 😂
I also always liked close control and pressing a button when receiving a ball… if that tells you what corner I’m coming from here.

combine that with the pace and ball travel and it’s becoming football.

the basics always need to be right first, imo and I think you did a great job getting that out of what the limitations of the core game allow you to. 👏

I have a question regarding the difficulty levels, according to you which difficulty is the highest between the legend difficulty with the difficulty option according to the individuality of the "activated" player and the ultimate difficulty with difficulty depending on the individuality of the player "Disabled"? Honestly I disable player difficulty. It makes crap player play like Prime Messi/Maldini.
 
TU 14 arrives, Guys! Don´t update your game. Or backup just Data Folder, FIFA 23.exe and FIFA 23Trial.exe Files. Than let EA update your game. Roll back to TU 13 with your backup Files and you´r good to go. For @Anth James mod here you can play it as well with TU 14. But your other mods might not work anymore with TU 14, especially files with Legacy files modded. Than you must wait for all the updates from the modders.
Nothing new here mentioned by me, just a kind reminder. :))
 
reinstalled Fifa23 - haven't played it for 5 or 6 months. I can't seem to get your mod to work. using FMM 1.1.3 and your version 6. I think it's something on my end since none of the mods I'm trying to use seem to work. is FMM 1.1.3 still the current version? Am I doing something wrong? used FMM loads previously

Couldn't even launch the game this evening - was previously blocking fifa23.exe through the FW and today it refused to load until i removed the rule

Just fired up fifa23 with u're latest gameplay mod;

The pace of the game loving it!
Ball physics on point!
The right amount of fouls are there
Sure it can be though to brake the defence, that is called realism
Never thought I could enjoy fifa23 this much , so thanks for this!

Ow and loving the physical battles on the pitch!

Is there a difference to the passing mechanics? Does every game feel different than the other? Because this is what fifa has a problem with, that Samey feeling of every game you play

Give it a go and see my friend. Passing mechanics have been worked on yes. Regarding the samey feeling, I think that’s subjective. The same argument can definitely be made for modern PES also…
