007 First Light 2026 - Out Now

This will be an awesome game. Intro Sequence is 100% James Bond, presentation is authentic to action films, and the gameplay from the footage alone is great combining Hitman style interactions, stealth and shooting mechanics with cutscenes from James Bond movies. Great job from IOI, another quality AAA game!

I think (it's not a secret, really) it's will be like "Uncharted 4 Style Driven Game", but if some balance of most important things will be here, on project - we can get a good game, that give us nice emotions for few hours of our life.

Haven't had time yet to really sink my teeth into it but so far it has been a lot of fun. The IOI-DNA is clearly there but where the latest hitman is an exceptional game already the way they have stepped up the quality where it comes to in-engine cut-scenes and overall writing is something else entirely. Just a high quality product all round.

I expected something like 78-82 on Metacritic but it is currently sitting at 88, they really knocked this one out of the park and straight into a glass of shaken martini

Just rolled credits after an absolute rollercoaster of an endgame, the twists and turns in the story are inventive and often unexpected. Abosulute full marks there.
For me though, the gameplay was frustrating and overwhelming at times, especially mid game, during shooting sections where enemies flood the zone and you are supposed to use gadgets and the environment when being shot from sometimes all sides, and Bond goes down fast as well.
The endgame did not have this problem however, and I either had finally managed to multitask accordingly, or the game was simply more balanced.
Either way, checkpointing is generous and even with a lot of dying my 007 was back in the same action very quickly.

Very happy with this game, I would say the franchise is in good hands but sadly amazon seem to be mentally challanged and intend to take over the gaming part of the Bond license as well, instead of leaving it with IOI.

Fingers crossed they see how dumb that is and give the studio a chance to make a sequel.

Edit: Apparently that Amazon Studios taking over bit was taken out of context or something and IOI continuing is very much still on the table. Lovely!

How long does the tutorial last?
Still playing the training missions and about 90 mins to 2 hours in..
The hand holding is absolutely awful... And playing on PC run and gun is always a massive win due to terrible AI.

So far feels like playing a cut scene simulator than an actual game.
Will so far the after the first 2 hours, I would struggle to score this game anything above a 1 out of 5.

Just finished Mission 7 on the game Knightfall.
The game isn't really what I was expecting.

I thought during missions there would be more ways to complete, either a stealth way or brute force way.
And the game would be more thought provoking and difficult, having to solve problems and use your head - But this seems to be a problem with all modern games, with everything laid out in a yellow or blue path.

Some of the gadget usage can be pretty cool although on the standard difficulty the gadgets are not really needed, except for when the game dictates they have to be used to progress.

The main gripe with the game is the weird mechanics and how bad the AI is in gunfights.
You can be in a room with 10-20 guys all trying to shoot you but you can run around and just charge strike them and just knock all of them out without using your gun and they never shoot you - The game is as if bullets don't cause you hardly any damage.
The gunfights are also incredibly easy on PC - Everything is a head shot even if you are close to the head and not on the head, guess this is due to console having a bigger hitbox and the developers not changing it on PC, which ruins the gun fights pretty much.

I will finish the game as want to finish the story but it is very much a case of forcing myself to do it rather than enjoying.

The game is absolutely bang average or just below average - I just can't recommend this game.
The missions are all very linear and there is so much lazy design, I need to get through this door but can't so need to find another way and to do that OH look there is a blue pipe completely out of place, I bet I can climb that and then another security guard to easily get past 5 minutes later I am through the door.

Not finished it yet but this is def a 2/5 game.

Can you turn off ALL hints and handholding and up AI and shooting etc difficulty?

You can change the game difficulty but not sure if you change the yellow markers and blue pipes to being normal.

The gun fights and fighting is just laziness, how you can get in a gun fight with 10 people and win by just charging them and punching them all to death and them missing point blank shots as it seems that if your in a fighting animation you can't be hit.

The combat is seriously broken you can get shot 20 times but can only be punched 3 times before dying.

The reasons why I dislike First Light and it isn't just this but a big part - You never need to use a gun in the game just charge and punch.

The Yellow and Blue icons parts of scenery to show you the way.
But it is the really little bits which annoy me the absolute most - You get to a part of the game and it makes you go get a key or some ID badges which are incredibly simple to get but take like 10 - 15 minutes. It is a massive chore to do not fun.

The story is pretty good and feels like a James Bond story and the cutscenes are well done.
But my god the actual gameplay is awful.
