Some of the games were really great at that specific time (micropose soccer, sensible soccer, fifa international soccer, iss pro 98).
and some of those were really crap (adidas power soccer, viva soccer, this is football).
For me WE7 is one of the best soccer games ever - I liked it very much and I was a little bit addicted to the Fevernova ball :D
Now I am enyoing PES 2012 - even if PES is not back at the throne, but I think Konami is on the way into the right direction.

Which soccer games have you played, which were the ones that impressed you most? And which features you liked at those games?
For me I liked the indoor mode of ultimate soccer - this was really fun (in my opinion better than the mode of fifa 97, which was also funny).

Now I hardly would buy any of the arcade games I had - this is only for a short period of time.

By the way, I can remeber my first modding steps with WE6FE and WE7 - I enjoyed that as well and I was very happy to discover evo-web with it's huge community and experience !!! :)

I am missing one special game, maybe some one can help me. It was also for PS1 - only national teams of WC 98 were playable. it had no official license, but all players face were real - looked like the were wearing masks. And shooting was with adjusted with an target you could place exactly where you wanted to shoot. this was funny for 5-10 matches, but overall it was also a crappy game - of which i forgot the title... :D

Wow, seriously too many to remember.

The first game I remember playing was Atari Football, so we're talking around 1980 or so. When I got my speccy I played Football Manager (1982) and Footy Director (1986) were the first management games I played. Other games that took up a lot of time was the likes of Microprose, Super Soccer, 7 a side soccer, On the Bench, FA Cup, Brian Clough (inlcuding the board game that accompanied it). Another great one was Match of The Day, and then the improved 2nd one.

Jumping over to Amiga, wasn't a huge Sensi fan, although it was played in the mates a lot, but my favourite was Kick Off (the best being Return to Europe). Then Player Manager and Player Manager 2. The Champ Manager started to come to the fore, that was major addiction.

Once Conoles came on board, Megadrive had FIFA which was good, then SNES brought our ISS Pro and it's really been the main game eversince.

Nowadays it's just Football Manager and PES, can't take to FIFA at all.
