Who has been suckered in an ordered this?

I used to love buying these titles back in the PS2 days as you usually got some excellent gameplay tweaks, not so sure now though.
 
For me it´s useless if we can´t play full WC with other team than Japan. That mode, i believe was for WE10, was awesome! Have no idea why the hell they ripped it off for other games.
 
About using other teams is still a doubt because jamezinho's link doesn't explain It except the way you can play with the Japanese team. I suppose It can be possible to play with different teams, but not with the same features as Japan national team.

I expect some improvements in game play, because WE 2010 was in my opinion almost a PES.

Hopefully there will be a demo for this in the next few weeks, where is best to avoid customs ordering from? used play-asia last year and got stung.
 
EA's South Africa World Cup 2010 got a fully licensed Japan as well (JFA crest, Okada's and players' likeness and kits included) so this game's pointless to say the least.

Here's to hope that Konami will let go of the J.League license soon as well.
 
Pointless? I enjoy PES/WE and not Fifa. So this definitely isn't pointless to me.

Many people, like myself, think Fifa 10 is rubbish, so the official world cup game is of little interest.
 
I hope they have taken the feedback on board about the animations and made some positive changes six months on.
 
Hi All,

I never liked FIFA games , I rember playing FIFA 93 and that was the best FIFA ever :) But this new WC2010 may change alot of people's view about the game, from what we are seeing the game looks very good and I think this time FIFA2010 WC will knock-out the WE2010 R2WC Japan Challange :)

From those screen shots the animations look like they are still the same robotic ones from pes 2010 :(

Hopefully they have made some progress.

Just praying the animations won't still be robotic :(

Wow, I wish I had your eyes. You can actually see animations from a static 2D image? I wish I could stare at pornographic pictures and see full penetration fully animated in my mind. Screw porn.
 
If this game had the WC with all WC teams playable I would order it right away. Japan only? I guess I will wait for reviews to see if it's a good enough update of PES2010 before I decide.
 
You can still play the World Cup with other teams in this game...but qualification is limited to Japan National Team only...This is a Japanese only release, so wouldn't make much point in including other countries when 99% of the consumers for this game will just use Japan.

as for FIFA WC2010 has Japanese team's full kit as well as the manager because they are under the World Cup license. Would be pointless to make an official World Cup game and have fake teams in there. *Especially when the WC (tournament and qualification) is the only mode this game has. But on the other hand, this Winning Eleven has all other modes and club teams inside of it, so for those who do not have PES2010, this would be a better buy (again, imo)

Actually about a minute after I wrote my post I felt it was too harsh. Like you say it is Japanese release only, so it makes complete sense. It's just that I really miss the International Challenge, my favourite mode from the PS2 era. Even so, I think I will have to wait for reviews. I don't want to go through the hassle of ordering from asia for something excactly the same as PES2010, apart from one new mode.

I do fear that it would be the case...Just some patchin' over WE2010 and nothing else. I hope that there will be more stadiums (at least Japanese).
