Widescreen support for PES/WE PC - now for PES6 too

for Windowed mode, whatever resolutions the game gives you - that's what you have. For Fullscreen, doesn't matter what you choose, say for example, you pick 800x600. But then in kload.cfg, overwrite that with the resolution you want. If your videocard/monitor supports it, then it should work.

If the players and the ball still appear squashed, then one of the two things happened: 1. dxtools didn't change the resolution, 2. you don't have the "aspect ratio correction" flag set in LODmixer. The second one is easy to check. Just run lodcfg.exe and verify that the flag is set. (Don't forget to press "Save" button.) The first one is a bit harder to check, but you can try putting some invalid dimensions into kload.cfg, and see if that causes the game to crash. If it does, then most likely dxtools works correctly - in the sense that it atleast tries to switch the resolution.

I can make it work with 1280x768 now, but it's not 16:10, I try with 1280x800(16:10) and it crashes at start. Now I see players slimmer than usual. I'm gonna try newly 1440x900 (which i have in my windows desktop).

yea i do have a widescreen monitor of course plus the fastest agp card out at the moment.

i tried it on my laptop just now and it has the resolution settings on the game itself for 1280x780 but whenever i select it, i go out of the menu and than back to the screen option and it says that the current res is 640x480??? it seems like it doesnt change at all.

what i did next was to change the res values from the config file into random values but it still doesnt seem to work..

the files you uploaded go directly into the kit server folder right?

it definately works...
and when i switched back to screen option menu it also changed to 640x480... just dont go back to that menu and it works.

Thanks~it looks really wide. by the way, did you deliberately change into Window mode to capture shots or it doen't work on full screen?

got it working on LE the key is editing the KLOAD.CFG, as follows

This works perfectly at 60hz, i found that 1280x768 ran at 59.8hz and threw the sound out of sync.

there is no problem,
fullscreen is ok.

but with 2 black strips on the top and bottom.

a little tip:
i do have a nvidia 6600gt card, i have to select "fix aspect ratio timing" on nvidia display panel, and the screen is centered on fullscreen mode.

Just look at the details of the pictures. Those screenshots were taken from his regular LCD monitor in widescreen mode, not on his widescreen monitor.

He plays it full-screen on his widescreen monitor in widescreen mode.

If you are still confused...
- Everything works fine and can be run full-screen. Both widescreen and normal are fine.
except for a possible sound issue.

i dont belive it
i just loaded up pes6 for pc
and it has 1920x1200 in the list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they have taking the best thing about the x360 version
so dont worry about getting the aspect ratio working in new lod mixer
just get it going so we can have the larger textures

Does it work on PES6?

Tried it on PES5 and it works great, 1920 x 1200 is so amazing, just like watching tv now~ brilliant!!!
