I never understood why all football games have such awful interfaces.
Unlike all other sports games they don't even have AI slider settings. Like users having adjustable options for stuff like
"referee strictness"
"ball weight/ elasticity"
"pass interceptions"
"yellow/red card strictness"
etc.
...and settings to change things like replay frequency. It'd be great to have nicer and longer penalty shootout, for example... the user could define if he wants to watch replays of each shot, etc. Same thing for the substitions... I don't understand why they removed them... or changed them so that you only see them when you're leading, etc.
And the stats... they're absolutely ridiculous in all football games.
Why can't you see "MATCH FACTS" from the CPU simulated games so that you could follow the rest of the season/cup more closely?
You know... like this:

Look what kind of statistics the membership has done for the old hockey game, NHL 2004. It has absolutely everything but the kitchen sink.

Why can't the football games have any of that? All football games are good examples of the "console generation".... kiddies just want to have fun and play... without any desire for statistics, good & deep interface and simulation-like adjustments.
End rant.
