What's the difference between WE and PES?

I wanted to know what's the difference in quality of gaming between both of these, cos I never played WE in my LIFE:lmao:

And will there be a release of WE 2008? will it be as good as PES 2008?

WE is the Asian name (actually original version) of the PES series. In terms of gameplay, I heard its exactly the same, but have also heard that WE is faster paced for Japanese fans and more arcade like, whereas PES is suited to more technical fans in the EU

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one thing I never understood why, is removing the J-league from the PES version. An assumption that the rest of the world is not interested in the J-League? or is it a space issue on the DVD?

Do you think this time around pes 2008 will have it? maybe the Blue Ray PS3 version will have it?

I have played both versions for years and the WE games are generally better than the PES versions.
The gameplay is slightly more tweaked, better passing more realistic control.
WE is much slower paced and feels alot more like a simulation where as PES in comparison is faster and feels alot more arcadey.

It is basically what dubamang said but he got the games the wrong way round.

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER[European KONAMI] series , released after WINNING ELEVEN[Japanese KONAMI] ones.
So...In PS2 they have more "things" like faces and etc.

Konami use to take a lot of PES games
japan the first (WEx)
then an asian championship (WExASIA) with different leagues from asia
then european (PESx)
then an american version (WEx)
and finally a japan league version, this last version is usually the best from a serie (WExJL),

They change the names the last two years with WEPES200x series.

Konami, i think, make every time a beta ! and make some changes for every game and try to make better

For me the WE series are NTSC (60hz) series and are a lot faster (for me the demo is very very slow and no it's not my computer!!)
i play about 8 hours pro week since PES3, and i try every game on PC (it's exclude japan asia and jl versions) and WE is for me and my friends always for every year the best, because of six months of work between european and american version.

And noone can says that PESx=WEx never never happened..

Because....the marketing factor. People in Japan will bought more J League version than europe. It is the same with k league version in korea. I dont think its about space problem. It just.. J League not so popular in europe, so...why it is in it? Then the other europe league like scotland and russia will envy it!
