What Happend to Saudi Arabia National team?

Australia joining the Asian federation must have raised the standard and made qualifying from Asia a little bit tougher.
 
It did and teams like North Korea have also improved exponentially compared to what they used to be which was VERY weak!

So Iran and Saudi Arabia, two old rivals, BOTH missed out! Both were in same group as well along with the Koreans (both North and South) and it's both sets of Koreans who emerged through and will be among Asia's representatives in World Cup.

[i know it's not "never" but i think it's REALLLLLLY shameful to win back-to-back CANs and not even qualify since... 1994, is it? someone should lose their continental crown over this :P ]
