What exist in PES6, but not in PES 2008.

the choice of being able to play the game properly without a monster pc or monster graphics card, i have a nvidia 7100 so i feel sorry for my friend who just bought the game with a nvidia 5200(it says on the box this card is good enough, my arse it is as mine aint even good enough)

did your mate try to update the nvidia's driver? worked for me. before it was impossible to play properly. g'd luck.

PES 2008 isn´t so bad how you all think... this is only the first step in to the future... believe me. KONAMI will learn of the mistakes on this PES!!!

KONAMI never really learnt from mistakes. Like an alcoholic.
Also the argument with the first step (into next gen) is wrong as we had PES last year on XBOX 360 allready.

the option of having players jerseys untucked. Now it seems all players have them tucked in at the start, and only some get them untucked during a game.
Sure, it's a small thing, but smacks of extremely laziness on Konamis part. Lots of players start matches with their jerseys untucked.

Also, in editing mode, you can't fast edit players stats by +10. You have to increase each additional point. Editing mode overall is just far far worse.

Well if you all miss so many things, go back to playing PES 6, that's what I did. I don't want to be konami's 'white mouse' and test their 2008 which is some kind of a beta version of PES 2009.

Oh yeah, and the thing that doesn't exist in pes 2008 is a joy of playing a football game.

Does anyone know how to rewind the replay to the starting point at once?

in PES 6, I remembered there was a hot key assigned to this function,(△+ L2?) in PES 2008 I cannot find it.

I can rewind it manually using d-pad or right stick, but it's inconvenient, and takes so long time

Use D-pad and Right stick. (L3+R3 pad) Together.

well, i think this pes has very fun gameplay, however the additional things it's given up are stupid since NO pes fan would have asked for these... so they clearly don't give a shit what we ask for and put stuff in / remove stuff arbitrarily.

The replay situation thingy in training was fantastic, meant you could keep practicing 1-on-1's etc against keeper, messing with your shooting angle / power to get perfect shots etc... but no. that's gone for no reason ( i don't recall anyone asking for it to be removed)

The training challenges were quite good to pass some time and get used to the game mechanics... also gone.

Then things like the weird penalty angle for saving pens, was that asked for? hell no... people thought penalties were FINE the way they were.

no home / away games, i liked that touch in pes6.

and selecting freekick taker in game is a complete hassle, if the person you want to take the free kick is selected as secondary freekicker, despite not even using him in the free kick set up, you have to deselect him as the no.2 kicker and reselect him as the number 1.

Okay, that's the end of my little rant... like i said, i really like what they've done with the actual game play.

edit : oh yeah... and replays were and have been always awesome in previous pro evos... wtf is up with the new ones... sigh

- cannot see who scores the goals in the game until half time or full time

- full time individual stats for players are gone (number of shots, number of passes, player comments etc)

- cannot change team logo

- cannot choose 2 legs in exhibition mode (mentioned above)

Even though FIFA doesn't use golden goal or silver goal, Konami could have just leave it there for us to choose, there's no point of removing it. Can't they just leave the programming codes in the DVD!!!!

cannot see D1 table if you are in D2....i agree with the guy who said this above....i cannot figure this out either...fcuking b0ll0cks

- lack of full stats at half time or full time

- lack of training modes especially challenge mode

- limited replay options - we cant even view the goal at normal speed like PES 6...disappointing

- reduced stadiums and less options in general for an exhibition match

although i like the fact you can choose to view the highlights at half time and full time.
