And apart from this menu apperance change in ML, which nobody cares about and different type of growth curves, there is NOTHING new about ML.

Same gay ML structure of having 16 teams per division with a 8th team div 2 remains apparently. And still you can't have more than 4 leagues meaning only 72 teams are usable in ML just like previous version out of the 112 or so that we have!

Ah . But what if.. there's an option to change the size of the leagues in the options or PES Shop? What if with a big if I guess.
Re: Growth Curves. I feel that in the WE8/PES ML version, some players stat development getting capped at age 25 seemed a bit harsh. Especially considering how some in reality, players in some positions (Def. Midfielder, Centre Back) actually get better. Nedved? Gary McAliister! Many others, surely spring to mind.
I found certain players who trained up regularly and rated well in games would seem to get a couple of extra weeks of growth Or was this an illusion? - birthdays the factor? I was sure my ML LFC Stevie G got better til he was almost 26. Maybe I was dreaming. Effective use of the growth charts may spot potential genius - the players who will continue to develop beyond the set cut off age if they start to "break the curve" and develop consistently rapidly. Maybe it more accurately represents a more balanced combination of game form and skill/stat development of the player. In which case - Right On.
Well it looks pretty, and yes, I used to check the development page regularly - having development/growth/form curves handy when making substitutions a goal down may prove very handy indeed.....

Re: Winning Eleven 9 - Official Discussion Thread Part 2

About Breaking the Curve .. I agree .. Borre for me got above what he is !!

EDIT :

Sorry .. I just remembered .. He got away from the curve till 20 then stop growing till he reached the same level of the growth !!
So nothing ..

SORRY

Re: Winning Eleven 9 - Official Discussion Thread Part 2

PLF seems right about ML. Looks different but doesnt mention any difference in the format or the way it works.

Re: Winning Eleven 9 - Official Discussion Thread Part 2

Re: Winning Eleven 9 - Official Discussion Thread Part 2

The main menu doesn't show any street mode option.. unless you get to pick before the game starts or in match mode..

Re: Winning Eleven 9 - Official Discussion Thread Part 2

WE9 seems to have more features than PES5

Nippon 2006 and Kirrin Cup are not included in PES5.

But we might see more liscened clubs in PES5.

Well I think it plays a little slower which makes for better build up play and more realistic than pro evos pinball speed lol and the commentry is nowhere near as bad as brooking and brackley.:D

I`m playing the WE Series since part5(WE5) and every time i purchased the following PES part, but every time it was a great mistake i felt, cause the european versions of the game doesn`t feel the same like their japanese counterparts like for example you need more skill to create chances, it all seems a little more easy and often feels a bit more arcade.
It`s kind of difficult to describe but you will find out yourself.

Sorry for going off topic.

Hi Jimmaaaaay (South park style ;) )... welcome to evo-web first of all.

Now I see what you're saying mate about perhaps something good being there in WE-Shop but to be honest I thin it's a bit too optimistic to be true that you can even change # of TEAMS in a league. That will require a whole new league strucuture and i dont believe will be something you'll see in SHop. Maximum good thing you'll see in WE-shop for purchase i think will be something like previous version so you can at least pick your own teams in those divisions instead of randomly

And for the ML growth thing.. I get a lot of questions about this guys and I'm gonna explain it here once and for all for all those who DOnt know.

A particular age lets say 25 has nothing to do with whether player will grow or not for EVERY player. How it works is kinda like real life actually.. every player has their own PEAK that they will reach at a certain age. This peak can be 20 years old or it can be 32 and so this is what will determine whether your players will be still getting better at 30 or having stopped growing at 20! There is no certain age rule and I don't think there SHOULD be.

For example I don't want all players to keep growing and getting better in ML till at least age of 25 that you mentioned.. because as great as this would be.. it's not realistic. There are many players who reach their peak way before even 25 and don't ever get better than when they were actualyl really young like 22 .. and in fact are a lot worse in 27.

Same goes the other way around... like you said some positions and some players reach peak later.. at age of 31 even i've seen guy become best he's ever been. So this guy will be growing and getting better in stats even at age of 29 and 30!!!! and all this is realistic for me.

It happens like that in real life and we shouldn't certainly expect every 22 year old in game to get better because as sad as it is.. some actually never do .. they just get worse from then on.

Now do I agree with the players Konami have picked to NOT grow after 21 years or 22 year olds?? No... I don't ;) i thikn they've picked some wrong people like C. ronaldo woh i think in 3 years will be even a much better/more complete player BUT do I want some of my playes and generally some in database to STOP growing after they're 22!! YEs i do for sake of realism because it's happened time and time again in real life and i want it there.

Take care
