DEFECTION, how about the crossing system, is it harder to defend now? And how can you do the sidesteps feints without pressing R2?

I read in the manual you can cancel shots/crosses with the supercancel move (r1+r2)

My lil revieuw of WE9

Got the game today at 15:00.....put im my PS2 and was trippin even when i saw the whole intro :).....the menu's and al looks great checked some options and stuff....yes there is an PSP mode for something.First of al i went to edit and changed the JAP names from the brasil team :)....my first match was brasil vs. Italy and OMG it was an great match.....i realy wanted to test the defence in the game of Italy....they where very good,the CPU is verry smart and doest give away anything....i was impressed by the power of Toti's teckniek.I like brasil because ofcourse they great teck. players....ofcourse there was no Robinho as mentiond before.....i realy enjoyed again of Ronaldinho...the teckniek the bal handeling was SUPERBBBBB,he gave great pas and could make awsome dribbels....and i got the change to take a penalty wuth him...and he wwas hi's own style of penalty shooting :) .Now i know u are are wating what i could say about the game play.....first of all its not WE8LE....its WE9 its a dif. gameplay...and u have to get use to it....but after 1 match ur in....i loved the smooth play and player movemed.Ofcourse specialy from KAKA!!!! lol.Made an 40 m shot with him on the post.

Now my second match was Arsenal vs. Chelsea...ofcourse first i edit names of Henrey,reyes,bergkamp and pires.....ofcourse i loved the new jersey of Arsenal and Chelsea.Henrey ofcourse had great skills and i tryed everything wiht him ;).....fooled 2 defenders of chelsea and almost scored but trust me the keeper is great in this game....as the defence AI. made an half volly with reyes that went 100 km outside the field LOL.

third game was Ac-milan vs.Lazio....ofcourse i change player names of Cheva :) kaka was already changed ofcourse,seedorf,gatuso,pirlo,stam......alsow here i enjoyed again playing with KAKA. great pasing and shot on the goal.alsow stam is very good in defence...but 1 thing that i noticed was the Pirlo is very strong in this game...stats are improved afcourse...alsow on this game the CPU ai was very good specialy in defence......

then again i enjoyed Brasil so much...i played my last game again with Brasil vs. Germany.That was an awsome match....Again the things i can do with ronaldinho in this game was just so great.....germany did got any chnage to score or what so ever....but the last 20 min the CPU player verry strong and Germany came back very good...didnt score any goal against me....but they played verry wel.

I was trying to do the Drack back move......i realy hope its in the game and not only in PES5.

Anyways i hope i can made some vids later on with my Webcame lol ;)

Right, too many questions heh.

Sliding tackles are much better, it's a little easier to defend and a little harder to attack, it's easier to score from crosses than the others and corners.

As usual Real Madrid are "gods". Stupid Konami...even there defense is the best in the game. :|

I don't think Real Madrid are overrated in WE8... I just think they've got great players but have been lacking a proper coach until Luxemburgo went there. They were by far the best team in Spain from January to June, let's see what they do this year, but the team has improved a heck of a lot since Luxemburgo arrived. Now with Baptista, Robinho, Diogo and Pablo Garcia they have an even better team, more balanced. But I don't think players as Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo or Beckham are overrated in the game - they just have not yet formed a proper team altogether.

Talking 'bout the game... maybe you can get us a video? Or tell us what differences in control you notice? How about that R2 shot? :) Thanx in advance, dude.

I hate people who only play with the best teams...why does no-one ever do a review using weaker teams?

Side steps is easy to do with just the left analogue. just move 90 degress to one side it from the direction you are runinng.

They are on the pitch, most of them time they are not so close to the ball, more like in real life, and when a foul comes then the referee comes and does the correct animation.

DRAGBACK IS IN THERE!! ITS FUCKN EASY! HOLD R2 walk to the opponents goal direction, for the example to the right. And press the opposite direction included r2! have fun

Questions for ppl who have the game:

1 - Offside trap - Does the game have once again a decent offside trap system, someting missing since a year ago or we still see amateur defensive movement with 3 defenders doing it right and a single one screwing it all?

2 - headers - still demand surgical movement and a bit of huge luck or playing on the sidelines is once again a good option?

3 - Kits - did konami reinsert the "tight kit" texture and the different sized short options present in WE7int or do we still have a single look and texture regardless of the new kits around (a good team to check this is betis).

Great little touch there,252 hairstyles eh...means u can have special hair styles like Woodgate's in WE8LE and put it on Beckham? I always wanted Rio to have Carew's hairstyle in WE8LE...damn,great news.PICS....WE NEED PICS!

special faces dnt disapear anymore when you try to edit them so we can put whatever hair on watever special face :D
So basically all the special hairs which are you usually assigned to just one player can now be assigned to anyone in game, I fuckin love this :D

Also yes the dragback looks sweet as :)
