It appears to be that there won't be any PES SHOP (at least) in the PS3 version .Some reward for achieving stuff like the fifth hat-trick,scoring 500 goals since every stats of every match will be recorded.Shirt pulling happens whenever you apply some heavy pressure on your opponent when you're behind him (it's automatic) ,in the magazine they say that maybe some people will use this opportunity to dive

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

They say that passing is "manual" or something and that you can send the ball towards much more angles than before .Defenders seems much responsive to intercept the ball .2 types of running ,quick running (sprint) with R1 and slower running with R2 (better for dribbling I guess ).Long passes have been improved, the ball can go much further than before.Shooting is harder (as in more difficult),in order to release a powerful you'll have to press the square button longer than before (can be exciting when you're closed down by opponents)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

Jimmy5 recently signed up to this german site because he knew people from this forum and others visit it, he does not speak german, or at least hasnt during any of his posts and a name such as Jimmy does not spring german to mind, therfore i think personally he was a bit smart and instead of posting ramblings on an english forum where he would be cast down he did it on a german one thinking people would give it more credibility

My 2 cents anyway but i could be wrong

I'm bored so I tried to be usefull ;);)
They also said something about ML not being revamped in its structure (tu sais quand ils disent que les problemes de fonds de la ML n'ont pas été traités ou un truc comme ca mais bon il y'a bokou plus de bonne nouvelle que de mauvaise)

Definately exciting, more control over aim etc is my most wanted feature. I just hope they know what they are talking about.
For example they mention 2 dribble speeds (R1 sprints, R2 slowdribbles, which was exactly the same in PES6, so not really news).

But yeah, if they have improved the longpasses to be more precise with the analog stick, I finally have a proper "evolved" gameplay feature to look forward to. Not just the usual "passing is more fluid" that we hear every year, even when players have a harder time receiving the ball in speed, resulting in less fluid passing (PES6). :)

Powerful shots taking longer is also a good feature and hopefully no more unbalanced crazy sky shooting :mrgreen:
More directions is good even if it's not 360° (the more direction the better )and it seems to be something they're looking forward to this feature.
I'm just waiting for a "real" review from of you guys who'll be going to Leipzig to test the game.I kinda trust less "official" reviws these days. ;)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

They still don't know if the famous Henry flick up will be in the game. They said it was initially included in betas then removed and then included once more so they're not sure anymore. The animation of the Drogba/Ronaldo move seem to be really bad tough

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

i remember last year @leipzig

playin this demo-version of pes6 there was kinda exciting to play, there was a HUGE difference between this and the final version of pes6 ... was nearly totally different in gameplay, but i liked it

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

Im really starting to believe that Chelsea will be in the game. The mag could've used Ivory Coast pics, but decided to go with the Chelsea pics.

Quick question. Does anyone know if the October release date is for North America as well?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

Rofl that would be a turn up, but weve had big suprises before with this game (Newcastle Spurs ftw)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/18/07)

I forget, when you see pub, autograph, interview etc.. isn't cut scene, it's just screenshots, but the colors of the team, the players, team logo change.

They aren't even animated? Thats good and bad i suppose. Good because it meant they must have spent time on other things, and bad because... well... they aren't animated :D
