This is from a non-finished version of the game and so this may not be the final list of teams that will be in the game at release.
By the look of this team lineup, we'll be getting the same crap Master League structure!

I don't understand why Konami can't create fake Division 2 teams for each of the full leagues...matter of fact for every countries club in the game! They've got the space with the blue-ray disc.

Lets just see what the final team/league line-up is like...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

The list has been updated at Level7 saying that all the individual teams listed are licensed, not just Bayern Munchen, Anderlecht and FC Brugge.

Yep the ML is still gonna be shitty. they could create a good setup on DVD let alone blue-ray. they do not give a damn about putting in a career mode.

This is the PS2 list, blu ray may still allow for thoes fake leagues.

Remember nex-gen is from the ground up.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

Well, who is really interested in those teams apart from their fans? The only really big one is Bayern Munich, then you have good teams like Rangers and Celtic, FC Basel and some of the Turkish and Greek teams. I really don´t give a monkey about Swedish or Finnish teams (sorry to all the Scandinavian fellas, but you´re leagues don´t really mean much in Europe).

The Bundesliga should be in, although I know that it´s only rated like 4th in Europe, but with Schalke, Bremen, Leverkusen or Dortmund there are a few teams who should be know all over Europe.

The PS2 could allow for these fake leagues too and years ago.
SWOS did it on a single floppy
Its just a database of team and players names.
Sorry but its just so fucking frustrating year after year.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

I'd just like to laugh in the face of the person who was telling me the watermarks were "clearly visible". Hahahaha.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

That list is rubbish! And no MLS teams? I thought with the Beckham move the games companies would fall over themselves to get a piece of that? I bet FIFA will use it to try and sell more in the US.

I just can't believe they don't give us random teams to edit if they can't be bothered to do it themselves, then at least we could make a real league structure instead of more master league!!

I'm not defending Konami here, but...

These data of players also come with the 3D models of the player.

The reason why SWOS could handle all does teams of players is because the graphics and model were 2D and the memory of each of the players was probably made up of a couple of bytes.

But PES is a 3D game and each player probably takes a couple of MB since they are made up of 3D graphics and all technical stuff.

I'm not an expert in this or anything, this is what i think is the reason why Konami couldn't have so many teams on the PS2 version, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Peace.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

hi guys been really busy watching prison break (great film) i think till now the game is gonna be great good news after the other :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

Sorry if this seems to be a pretty dumb question ,how come FIFA on the PS2 have more teams than PES on the PS2 ? I mean if it's bout space storage then I don't understand what is the problem not adding more leagues (lower leagues).Again if it seems to be obvious for y'all I'm sorry but I never got to understand it so please enlighten me .
Thank you

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/26/07)

Of course it's not about storage space. It's about a developer having no grasp of what European football is really all about.
