- shooting is better/harder

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/20/07)

?

you've already told us you don't like playing online, so why does it matter?
Er, for a start, that quote you've posted is from a different thread, and a different part of the forum to boot. :| And then, this is a forum, so I'm allowed to say what I feel, no? Or are you just going to stalk me forever now that I've said I dislike PES?

I want to be able to play online, but if the games companies allow cheats (or even program the game to allow cheats) then it puts me off enitrely. But that doesn't mean I hate the idea of playing other people. Just the morons. If the online elements were programmed in a way that completely disallowed cheating - you lag, you're cut off, glitches are patched rather than allowed to be exploited - then I would love online play.

But back on topic, faster gameplay doesn't sound too pleasing. But at least the passing is faster, will mean less of the CPU intercepting your piss-weak passes.

I recommend that you block my posts, you seem to have an error computing them.

lol, i am just saying you said you hate online gaming so why are you so bothered about online play on this game?

i never said you cannot say what you feel though jack. something you always seem to add at the end of your replies.

i see you have edited your post. understood.

Probably not. It probably means the cpu passes faster but your guys still pass it through quick-sand.

Either way, it still sopunds like it's the same old scripted passing system...no new analogue control of pass speed.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/20/07)

I can imagine it now, im getting "tackled" from behind when clean through and cant get away as the comp is holding me/slowing me down so i press the dive button to get the deserved freekick the ref isnt awarding me. Instead i get a yellow, the ball goes up the field and i attempt to sheperd the comp attacker away by using the "shoulderpush/running alongside him" technique but instead of it working he now lets himself dive and i lose the match to a last minute penalty. Cant wait!

And here's us worried that nokami are looking like they arent putting enough effort in, theyve been busy thinking of "legitimate" ways to cheat us

I don't know what you're laughing at. I'm willing to put money on the scenario playing out exactly as you describe in the majority of ML matches. Such is the mentality of Seabasstard.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

I hope this diving don't encourage more diving in real football :(

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/20/07)

again a French magazine

Inside this mag :
- Official licence for Ghana and Ivory Coast
- Dive possiblity

T4386S.jpg

it may not be the most important thing but anyone else see how that boot blatantly rips off the Nike Legends boots, why cant they just use adidas boots?

is it so hard for konami to go to nike n say do u wanna be in our game? you'll make money out of it, you know it makes sense, all publicity is good publicity right? nike wouldn't say no.

Diving has now become part of the game, shame on these wimps. But will we see the "wrestle mania"that goes on in the goal area before set peices?

Its more a laugh of despair. I hope nokami has actually developed the teamvision to be as good as it should be, but i cant help but laugh at the continued use of cheating to artificially make the game harder ( which seems to be whats going to happen with the dive function). Ive resigned myself to it, it helps. Although as i posted in a later post, it could be possitive, and should be better then the stupid scripting now present. This however i find less frustrating then the total lack of ML development over the last 5 or so years. Thats what will really piss me off if they havent done a good job on that.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

The diving explains why they choose Michael Owen.

But again no news about the MasterLeague is very alarming i feel we are going to get the same MasterLeague as before but with added cut scenes of bar brawls when you lose.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

no ML news yet probably means that they made drastic changes and they are saving it for Germany.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

@ The Power, mag scans.

Whats been said about the ML at the end. From what i can read it says that the ML and cups are recognisable modes from previous games and then its something about statistics and player careers. But i dont get that last bit.

Saying that the ML and cups are familier with the older versions seems to mean they are the same, but then again maybe that havent been allowed to play them. Doesnt sound to hopefull though that whatever improvement the ML has gotton its not even worth mentioning so far.

@ Tobi,

or its so little that they are focussing on the rest,.... i hope youre right!

Now thats optimism! :applause:

Diving... :(

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

reading what you said ML doesn't sound like its had any major changes but i hope there saving it for Germany, and how do we explain the pub pics from PSM3?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

Wow, I'm shocked they put in a diving move.
A three button combination would be easy enough to pull off.
I think every single player in the game will be able to pull off such a dive,
hope they also have a degree of elegance for it.

This could dramaticly change the game for us.
Although if you think about it, it has actually kinda been in the game for ages.
Not exactly a dive, but when you start to "slow dribble" when someone is running into you,
most times you would get a free-kick.
Hope it doesn't screw with the core of the game too much.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

To get the diving right we'd have to perfect the timing. Meh what is Konami thinking teaching us how to dive :(

There are nothing new about ML. They only say PES2008 have also the ML mode, like the older versions. But there are two more important things from the mag

- No more blackscreen after a foul...so you can take the freekick directly
- You have a playerprofil with statistics. (How many games you played, how many goals you scored ...)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/21/07)

seeing as ronaldo is working with Konami maybe he requested nike boots or at least boots that looked relatively like his nikes or maybe there is going to be another boot edit hopefully

This is proof that Man United are licensed.

All they have to do is add Manager movement to the MasterLeague, thats all its fucking so simple.

I forgot something:

- Gameplay and Passing faster

you forget to mention that they speak about a massive graphic improvement

- more and better lifelike animations
- more detailed playermodels ("they look like their real counterparts")

and Konami is still at the stage of gaining more licence
