we don't know yet ;)
maybe we can edit the face, body, cloths etc..

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/16/07)

I agree, the stamina gauge should work differently than it does now.

...

That way you have both a short term "energy" gauge, aswell as a long-term gauge for how tired he generally is.

While making sure frank lampard's stamina doesn't go down much, as well as similar players. Lampard plays game after game 90 mins, and rarely sits. I get tired of having to sub people like him every third game in ML because they are tired.

There are pes08 images clearly showing the coaches, so yeah it seems we will have visable coaches this year. I also think it would be unlikely seeing man u play and them having a random figure making all the calls. Being able to edit the faces could happen but it seems a little more unlikely. Although it would be annoying having a coach running around that was recently sacked and you can't change him!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/16/07)

I would like for coaches to be visible during games standing on the sidelines next to the player being subed in. I would like to see the coach giving instructions and pointing at the field with one arm, while his other arm is resting on the player's shoulder.

I would also like to see players standing up and walking out of their bench to warm up on the sidelines as the game is progressing.

Heck, I would even love to see a player run to his bench after scoring only to be swarmed by his bench players as they all share in his celebration.

To be able to see things come to life and move around on the sidelines as you are playing your match will only add tremendously to the game's realism.

I am aware that this things are not priority since gameplay is more important. However, I do hope that these ideas are not too far down in Seabass's list.

Absolutely. Not so much about stamina, but the fatigue system needs fixing also. But, you also need to know that just because they are slightly fatigued, or because they don't have the completely full stamina gauge when they start, you can still play them. No players mid-season are on their absolute prime if they have played regularly, so in a way I think the current system is good. But tweaking it to make it even better is possible and preferable.

(...) On top of that, what really get me angry are these stupid stupid stupid pub scene, outside stadiums, fans celebrating...WHAT DO I CARE!???!? if you cannot get the players on pitch feeling???
Unbelievable.

I really hope this thing with shirts is just speculation, if they really took out untucked s. and added stupid cut-scenes of people in front of the TV they are the biggest joke of videogame industry.

Totally agree. In fact, they already became one of the biggest joke of videogame industry the day they decided to *force* us use the radar. They could've let us decide whether we liked it on, off or transparent... but they didn't.

I think that's how the WE history is written. Two steps forward, one step backward.

Shame [-(

full res looks smoother than pes6 slightly but not a huge difference.

Oh yeah, so it's true, this images on the pub are REALLY in game. That's good. Off Topic: Brazil National Team was amazing against Argentina, last sunday... Like always. Adiós hermanos Argentinos, talvez en otra oportunidad. XD

For who say the graphics is not as good as PS3 power...

Remember...

First Winning eleven on ps2 ((WE 5)) and the last one is ((JLWE2007cc))... what do you think about the graphics if you compare these to version. For sure ((JLWE2007CC)) win.

The same think on PS3... so just wait for konami to reach the maximum power of PS3... then we will see something awesome.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/16/07)

You can put it on transparent u know.

Yeah i know. But i can't turn it off like in old versions of the game u know. And i don't like the radar at all.

I wonder why they don't give us that option anymore :-(

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/17/07)

Great details... cartoony colour palette.

From a distance, (as in WIDE camera), you don't see the details, and only see the colours.

Stupid Konami... I can't believe they held to their current-gen colour palette for the next-gen game.

So long "Adriano-screens"...

Dammit I care little for untucked shirts, pub or outside-stadium shots (fifa 2000ish?) just give me an unscripted, responsive, submersive and highly addictive football game.

Yea and probably die off the old age right after that.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/17/07)

I was looking back at some old PS2 mags for shits and giggles today.

After this I have decided that anyone complaining about the quality of the graphics should be cast away from this forum like a leper.

PES2 looks archaic.

People giving it the old WOE IS ME. UNTUCKED SHIRTS MEAN THAT I CAN'T ACTUALLY IMAGINE MYSELF AS CRISTIANO RONALDO!

WEEP

deserve the ole 1-2 to the jaw.

And I'll do it 'n all

edit: I like the "drink" bottle in the pub pic.

This

While I agree to a certain degree, I really dont care about if there will be untucked shirts or not, although as others have said, is it really that much effort to include?

But with regards to how the game changed graphically over the course of last gen consoles, I think the real problem have with these new games, are that there are so many games out there at the moment that look really beautiful, and really show off what PS3 and 360 are capable of.

I really cant remember how PES2 compared with other games, at the time of its realease, but as people have pointed out, take a look at the Konami baseball game, take a look at Top Spin 2, or some of the basket ball titles, and they really are light years away from PES.

Is it really that important? No, if the gameplay turns out to be fantastic, but I really do think that Konami do need to take a serious look at the graphics for the next realease. Are graphics the most important thing? No, but when you have the combination of great graphics and great gameplay, you have the difference between a good release and an absoluteley outstanding release.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/17/07)

I second that Nicostorm. Its not that important. But we pay for this game and we got to a point where it is by far not unreasonable any more to ask for just a little bit improvement graphicwise. This is one of the better selling games on the system. The concurrent is doing allot more in this department, and still we do not get anything near of what we should be expecting for a top selling franchise coming to the PS3.

Is the customer king in this case? No. I would easier say they are playing with us. Because the Tour de France is busy I will give U a nice metaphor. We try and attack, sprint forward, are finally a few minutes ahead looking at the beautiful French landscapes of what still to come for Konami. And everytime we go a little bit faster or slower, they anticipate and go a little bit faster or slower too, always keeping their cool, going just at the right speed to keep us in their grip and get us a mile before the finish line.

Anyway I am pretty sure that's a gay pub, nobody is drinking beers.....just fancy flashy cocktails...........

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/17/07)

Just read the news of the day: Peter Moore is moving to EA sport division and ex EA president Don Mattrick is taking over his job at MS.

This means we should be getting more decent EA games in the future but much worse overall xbox 360 games.......so dude that's, I am heading towards a PS3 for sure, but only if they really cut the price, just putting more storage for the same god damn price is not good enough for me.
