WENB is on the scene trying to get some info. wana try and get something about that post about Sony embargo on the images. We are trying to get in contact with our people.

you guys are better pr guys than konami themselves .

if you look at old adrino pics looks like (hopefuly) ps3 pics ,
and the new released pics are from pc and 360. think sonami did not want to release there pics first and release later to show the difference in quality and show that it has to be baught on ps3 to fully appreciate next gen experience. if any one seen adriano and terry pics last year than why would they release worse pics the following year unless that was on the ps3 engine which is different , shows what 2 million extra sonami $dollars can make.

p.s. suff and adonis great work and hope u guys can get those guys to talk , negotiate and get some extra info , good luck with contact.

Because its laughable.

I don't understand why its such a big deal that the 360 is more or less the same as a ps3.

It seems that the Sony fans on here are pinning there hopes on PES to be better on there console.

Wake up it wont be.

Anyhow back on topic the new game sounds very interesting, but the screens are a bit of a disappointment to me.

If anything, if Sony and Konami were that much together in making the PS3 version the very best version, then they just would've released this game on the PS3 alone.

Think about it...for example, here in America...much more of the hardcore players than the casual players are the ones buying WE. While it is becoming more popular here, it still isn't on the selling level of FIFA. So if Konami did indeed put out a way different version for the PS3 than the 360, most of the buyers are going to know this. They aren't going to just blindly buy just ANY version, despite the 360 being very prevelant here. No, they are going to want the PS3 version. Konami would definitely be wasting their money putting out a 360 version.

Konami is a business. They aren't stupid like that to pull a stunt like people here are thinking. That is why they put the game on the XBox a couple years ago in the first place.

konami just for fun are releasing there biggest game they got i.e. mgs4 on ps3 end of this year exclusively and even though not as much consoles sold so far. they must not care about there 7million seller and care more about the one that sells about 1.5 million copies a year and 700,000 less than fifa , winning eleven is for japanese fans and the only next-gen console they got is ps3 so would likey invest in making a good engine for there home fans .

Who cares about wich system is stronger, I have them both, and i can tell you some things run smoother on PS3, some on X360, its all about the game, i just want that they make a good game, that runs smooth..... has nice features etc, and looks cool,

doesn't have to be powerful just has to sell more copies on that platform , if you include japan and say barely anyone buys on 360 and say about 700,000 copies on ps3 and say 1.5 million in europe on ps3 it will sell at least 100% more copies on ps3 rather than 360 because of the lack of sales in japan and how much of a big game this is in japan, same with final fantasy as sells primarily in asia only consoles they are working on or making new versions for is nintendo and playstation.

Wasn't that supposed to be PS3-work "in progress"?

I'm starting to feel better after giving some more thought about it. There is a huge difference between the above pic and the ones released by Konami yesterday. Although I'm puzzled why Sony would have a an embargo on screenshots that would make its PS3 sell better..... However, if the PS3 screens are as amazing as Adriano's screenshot, then they WOULD succeed to create a much stronger response than a response generated had they been released with yesterday's screenshots.

However it certainly makes sense that yesterday's screens were from the PC and X360 versions. The fact that they didn't specify which version they belonged to, doesn't mean it belonged to all 3.

if you notice in the statement by seabass yesterday he said that sweat would run down players faces and the shirts would flow in the wind looking at that screen that looks like the officail 1

What makes you think they'll automatically make more money putting it just on the PS3? Surely they'd make less? Anyway, I don't think Konami are really bothered about releasing an inferior version on the other formats. At the end of the day they know that us 360 mugs will still go out and buy it, even if it's not as good as the PS3 game. So why have PS3 exclusivity when you can con everyone else into getting it too?

sad but true , think 2009 will be the true next gen game.
remeber the first ps2 game shit graphics but goo gameplay that's the base for konami all the time , what's got good gameplay next version slightly tweak something else like grapghics. fifa does both at the same time but get's neither perfect or close to reality but konami improve one thing to their best ability .

Main thing is, the screenshots so far do NOT tell you how good (or not I guess) this game is going to be, they are just the same PR pics you always get this time of year in PES.

Generally speaking, there is not much between 360 and PS3 games at the moment in terms of graphics quality.

But with the architecture of the PS3, when the programmers get to grips with it they should be able to outperform the Xbox360, in the years to come, nobody would argue against that, the technology is newer.

With their close ties with Sony, Konami should be able to make a "special edition" of the game for the newer console, as the lead SKU, and still port a very very decent game for 360.

You will never EVER hear Konami mention this officially because this is the age of multiformat!

It hardly matters which version is slightly shinier, unless you are on here and take your gaming a bit too seriously.
For example Virtua Tennis 3 looked 2% better on Sony, but had no online function at all? Result; it's still a good game on both formats, but if you like to play online, you are shafted with PS3.

Its quite possible that PES 2008 will runner better online for 360 and look a small percentage better on PS3, who knows.

We do know that Konami have spent lots of money and time on this game, so everyone can chill the hell out and look forward to a good game. I personally don't care about versions in 2008, 2009 etc as I already feel like I've waited 3-4 years for this game.

Someone should set up a separate moaners site ffs, no one wants to hear how bad this game is going to be, how everything is screwed up and how your favourite console is better than someone else's.

Have a beer, look at pictures of Keeley Hazell or get yourself laid (or both).

If Konami did in fact do this...I wouldn't buy the 360 version. Believe that. I would feel slighted beyond belief. Konami didn't give Xbox players an inferior product. It was just as good. So if they did it this time around, it wouldn't make any sense. It would not be a good strategy for Konami at all.
