Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Adonis should try to ask his contact about the player movement control. Is it 360 degrees movement and passing or it will still be the crappy eight way movement. This would be nice to know.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

what would make it perfect are more wrinkles ^^

But if you were to see those shirts rippling and moving about as the players move you would be blown away. I hope and pray that the movement of the material looks convincing because it has been sadly lacking in all PS2 games due to lack of processing power. I can't wait to see a vid!

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Think the PS3 fan-boys need to get a grip of themselves to be honest.

Konami are not gonna make 2 separate versions.

I like others have been saying this from the off, and soon it will become clear.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I don't think so I think that we'll have goal celebtrations like this with the graphics of the screens that are released. Think about it the screens ar close to that. I mean add a little sweat to ronaldinho's face zoom in and update the crowd and there you have it.
Look at Adriano's face and jersey. The overall lighting effect is at a totally different level (next-gen if you may) than the ones released yesterday.

Why do you keep bitching about the game? You have special thread just for that, you know?
If you dont like it, you dont have to buy it. End of story.

Why in all your post you speak about PS3 FANBOYS, you can speak about the game and not only PS3 FANBOYS NO BETTER VERSION AHAHAHA !!!!!!

As I said this could been done in a celebration cutscene look at the difference with the cutscenes and actual gameplay in fifa. It just the amount of difference as in the two pro-eo pics.

Yeah. If you think this thread is ONLY for those who have praise and poetry about the screenshots, then you're terribly mistaken.

This is about opinions, and that is what makes a "discussion". If you don't like my -or anyone else's- opinion, try making a valid argument against it, or just live with it. It's called "dealing with a different opinion".

Thanks for the "don't buy it" option. A real eye-opener.

Moving on.

A lot of the information between the announcement and this moment supports that the PS3 screens are yet to be announced. The Sony deal, the Adriano screens from last year, and Konami's silence regarding the platform of the screenshots. It may be unlikely, but it is a solid theory for now. And you can't seriously believe the Night/Day difference is responsible for the staggering difference between this screen and ALL those released yesterday. It is also highly possible that simply if the PS3 screens were shown together with other platforms, Konami would lose a lot as no one would buy the X360 version.

Try resizing Adriano's pic as much as you want. It is CLEARLY a different graphics engine.

I made my arguments in few posts before, but it seems you wont read them. I said my thoughts numerous times, in this thread, and also in PES thread. Go to bottom of page 17, then comment. And your patched pes 6 does not look better than pes7. Deal with this.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

maybe this is the picture you should be comparising at:

See this is very close to those (low res) screens they gave us.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Instead of arguing lets try to talk about player movement control. I will really be disappointed if they will keep 8 way movement and passing. Any news on that maybe?

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I just hope Adriano is shit in the next gen version! He is a mediocre player in real life and the best player in the world in PES6. He can score from anywhere. Wanker.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

No reason to be ideologically defensive about the game, those screens did not impress anyone, maybe the game will but the "non buy the game" argument does not mean he cannot express his opinions about how those screens do not seem to matched the next gen experience they have been trying to sell us so far.

But since they are pre beta screenshots mine are just pre beta thoughts

Because its laughable.

I don't understand why its such a big deal that the 360 is more or less the same as a ps3.

It seems that the Sony fans on here are pinning there hopes on PES to be better on there console.

Wake up it wont be.

You constantly put the 360 down.

Anyhow back on topic the new game sounds very interesting, but the screens are a bit of a disappointment to me.

Granted its from a beta version.

I actually think the "big news" they weren't allowed to give away is the 360 movement. Although I don't know how it would be possible (or needed) on a keyboard.

And Puschkin, I did read all ur posts. I guess I dealt pretty well with them and with ur opinions about my pes6. Or did you hear me at any point tell you to "stop bitching and don't buy it".

;)

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I just hope that the teamvision feature is very intelligent. Not that you start playing over the wings, CPU recognizes, adjusts its defense. Then you change your style and attack through the middle, CPU recognizes, adjusts its defense. Then you change again.

I don´t know how far they can push the AI these days, but if it is too obvious how it reacts then there is the risk of it becoming to easy to play against.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Teamvision is the best thing I got from this announcement.

PES shows a totally different level of difficulty and fun when playing against another human. Teamvision will greatly simulate this experience.

Just when I thought the gameplay couldn't get anymore addictive ;)

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I think it will have an influence on the game even if you play against another human. Because you only control one player, but the others are moved by the CPU. Otherwise you would find the player out of position when you take over the control.

Well, the digital pads would still work probably. But it's the same with racing games, to enjoy them fully you really need atleast an analog pad, best is a racing wheel though.

I hope they stop with digital, most people have analog pads and they aren't that expensive for people to upgrade either. A cheap ps2 pad replica isn't expensive. :)

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Just imagine they would give us the 360 movement what effect it would have on shooting? It would become a real skill to position your player as good as you can towards the ball, so that the shot itself is more powerful / accurate or weak / wide. But should that be the case, it needs a very good balance. Maybe too early for this edition.

Good work. Try and get any positive info that would clear up this foggy situation were in. Are then screenshots from ps3? Are they all the same? Image embargo? Any vidz/trailers/teasers? etc..

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

ask them how do they spend their time, one press release and 6 screens in 18 months.........must be a hell of a hard job......oh i forgot they also play the beta version for half and hour.......which still leave 17 months and 29 day and half paid vacation.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread
