Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I think you are arguing over two different things. Now one thing is a better off the ball movement which is indeed very nice both on line and off line, but I think he was expressing his indifference towards that new "Team Vision Thig" which seems to concern the way the AI team interacts with you during the game in terms of strategic positions, not only off ball movements.

Of course the two aspect are related so it is indeed a nice advacement.
No, I am talking about the same. You are correct about beeing related: This new Teamvision is the AI from the game and I think that means that you can also use that to your own advantage. The off the ball control is used by the same engine as Teamvision. Seabass is hinting to that. My though go even further: I would not be surprised if they have improved the formations screen with new sort of arrows. Just read about how Teamvision works. If the CPU can tweak their formation like that, you as player should be able to do the same! But maybe I think too far now :)

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

What i would really like is an option to select off ball players and tell them where to attack the space. Or some sort of set play you can activate in real time to get ur team moving in certain ways (something like ea rugby but more dynamic and in real time).
I think my current problem with sport games is how little you control the off ball movements, you should be given more controls in real time. That's how I would use the right analog, for strategy rather than special moves.

I don't want to make 360s anymore to wait for some of my players sprint down the wing.......

I read Fifa is trying to implement something like that. We'll see how it works out.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

i love reading all these crazy arguments during every pre-release periods :D there are always idiots out there doubting Konami/the WE dynasty. come on now guys, you all know you'll get the damn game when it comes out then spend millions of hours playing it offline/online and then patching the mofo.

people are arguing like crazy over graphics and console capabilities, but i see it this way: WE11/PES7 is getting bigger and bigger. why? because its a solid game all around. i would give a shit if the game looks like an 8 bit ver, i'll still play it, because i'm a loyal fan.

ps-I'm glad world famous and talented footballers know what games to play :) Henry, Totti, Terry, Adriano, Kaka, C. Ronaldo, Drogba, and who was that guy on PES3?

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

i hope that in this game i can give players a proper 'free role'

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Hello people,

I believe all the feedback we are reading here is for a simple fact that the only changes people have "SEEN" are those 6 screens. So the feedback about the the game is only revolving around it.

If we would pick up a controller and play to see how the game plays and check all the new additions to game play, we would all have different feedback and attitude towards the game.

I really doubt they will make 2 different HD versions for Xbox360 and PS3 in terms of the graphics, but I sure hope they do and maybe come with exclusive content for PS3.

The shorts of the screens look "stiff" and not really flowing, as in real life the shorts would make contact to your legs, not be rounded like they are are on the screen.

Waiting for a video and perhaps a playable Demo?! who knows!

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Am i the only one to think it is superweird that they have not release official news in Japan.......that is indeed something that makes me believe that we'll get something a lot better soon about the PS3 version.

Although i am very curious about this embargo thing by Sony? What happened SeaBass slept with some of the Big EXec wife???

Remember Konami have J league to sell in august. They have to concentrate on that title first.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I bloody hope that they put a lot of AI power into the goalies.
I guess goalies are a huge challenge in a videogame, but if somebody can do it, then it´s Konami.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

if sony really are involved in the game somehow then HOME support is a must right? can you imagine uploading your goals to a PES 2008 section in HOME and then people vote - goal of the week/month that kind of thing. also there could be special tournaments too, the list is endless.

I think as stated before the animations will be very impressive just look at Ronaldiho's foot for example of that in one of the screen shots. I think the grapics looked good but again watchin it in motion will do it more justice.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

EHi podcast fellows??? Have you made some phone calls today?? Anything new???

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Yes, you are wrong :) You have a totally wrong perception of what you get with this new title. Everything is wrong and you argue with people who has a positive feeling about the game. An example? In the IGN-article ( at the bottom ) Seabass mentioned the off the ball movement, together with the new close control of the player, which also means the CPU-control of your own players! So you DO profit from that on-line! That's just an example of your faulty perception...
bla bla bla, u saw only Konami statement , which can be true , but Seabass told us that there will be no way in PES6 to make long ball on the other side of the pitch ( opposite side attack ) and make run free , u can still make it, they promised us a lot, so dont tell me I am wrong cause u know nothing, on Winning eleven 7 we were promised that AI could learn something from us, it was completly wrong, promises , promises, some of them came true some of em not. And may I ask u as I can see u re the more involved person in Konami s production what else did I get wrong ? Maybe u can tell which game that announced AI that can learn during process kept the word ? Or was it u who believed our Turkasann that he has pics of PES7 ? :-))))) U got it wrong mate. Maybe u should less believe your imagination and strt to belive your eyes.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

are they "official/unofficial" representatives of the online WE/PES community?

I think so.

As always the W.E.N.B. team is striving to provide you with the latest and best from around the globe on everything Winning Eleven. Today we have received word that W.E.N.B. has been recognized by major industry players, magazines and publishers. Certain sections of Konami have also recognized the blog

Was there anything in the past Konami did RIGHT in your eyes?
If Konami did so bad in the past and you were / are so disappointed in them, then you are plain stupid to buy the game over and over again.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

that's great. maybe they can get some special treatment. like getting fly out to attend the game's next press conference \\:o/

Hehehe Adonis and Suff would surely love it

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I am sick and tired of ppl moaning about graphics of beta preview of the game, so I edited those pictures ( downsized+2 times sharpening in Irfan view ) and now you can see that the graphics are pretty good, for a beta. I believe 100 % that game will be awsome looking, and that Konami will ad much more details to the game.
Notice:
awsome player faces and expressions.
Positioning of the arms and legs, the whole look of the players feels natural.
Every single kit has its own movement and wrinkles. Imagine that in movement. Top class.
On bottom picture notice the lightening on the kit and C. Ronaldo leg. Awsome.

You mustnt forget how did the first PES6 images look like, with flat grass, monkey faces and stuff, and still, they put 3d and other stuff.

This, and the stuff that will be added and polished, make me feel more than positive towards PES7. Peace.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Is the 2-million-sony-investment story even confirmed? Or is it just a rumor? This could change everything.

Also, remember the Adriano pics Konami released last year?

Wasn't that supposed to be PS3-work "in progress"?

I'm starting to feel better after giving some more thought about it. There is a huge difference between the above pic and the ones released by Konami yesterday. Although I'm puzzled why Sony would have a an embargo on screenshots that would make its PS3 sell better..... However, if the PS3 screens are as amazing as Adriano's screenshot, then they WOULD succeed to create a much stronger response than a response generated had they been released with yesterday's screenshots.

However it certainly makes sense that yesterday's screens were from the PC and X360 versions. The fact that they didn't specify which version they belonged to, doesn't mean it belonged to all 3.

Haha, I just saw those pics and thought "Damn, it looks better than I thought they looked yesterday." :D

I suppose it proves that the potential is there. SOmetimes there are little details that are missing, like brighter "light" spots that give a better illusion of direct sunlight. Or sharpening or such. Either way, what you did to those pics worked great, and that was only a small overall adjustment.

Re: PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

what would make it perfect are more wrinkles ^^

I don't think so I think that we'll have goal celebtrations like this with the graphics of the screens that are released. Think about it the screens ar close to that. I mean add a little sweat to ronaldinho's face zoom in and update the crowd and there you have it.
