the faces thing is an absolutly insane feature if konami do it right. not only can u put urself into the game, u can also adjust other players faces with ur own photos just to get em spot on. love it.

This "big surprise" stuff is really frustrating, I finally managed to get hold of my "contact" today and ask him what it was all about. His response was, "Erm, what big surprise? I've only really played it in multiplayer so far and I haven't noticed anything, so it must be a single-player thing."

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'll not be very happy if it's the custom soundtracks or the face-in-the-game thing (which are both great, don't get me wrong, but they're not new gameplay additions or game-modes).

On the pc youll be able to easily put your own tracks in, may take some converting but easily doable

I disagree, it says "Library" at the top with LB/RB buttons around it, which I think means you can select between Library and HDD Songs.

We don't have the game so I wouldn't state anything as fact.

It appears there are now more than 4 skin tones in the game...perhaps even an "infinite" amount, judging by the screens.

OMG!!! This is awesome, from an editing view point just upload a photo of a player to the HDD and map it... no more default faces!

This is somthing i suggested at PesFan... wonder if they got my idea lol ;)
And look at the size of the sponsor on that shirt! Editor's Heaven!

If thats real then this is fuckin unbelievable! I apologize to Konami for slagging you off for last years effort! Put my own photo in game and map it as good as that? :) it will be amazing!

I'd shit the bed if you could put your HDD tunes on.

I'd put Editors - Munich for Highlights like Match of the Day.

There's a shit load of trance tunes I'd put on too.

PS, I have to say the highlights music in PES6 was a fucking joke, they got it so right in PES3 :(

Titch, if it wasn't for your patch, I wouldn't have played PES6 for as long as I did. I still have a Tranmere ML save somewhere.

I bet the amount of work it will take to edit all the players into PES2008 with correct stats and height and weight and appearance will put you off though. ;)

It's nice to see Konami haven't been sitting on their hands the past year then - we're finally seeing some decent improvements in key areas. From the Blog translation it sounds like the English commentary is much better too

yes, this is the 360 version so it will probably mean it will be the xbox 360 library.

Also check the options on here, there are now 10... this would indicate i later build to the previous batch of shots.

They weren't lying about the edit mode the face editor is completely amazing you can actually map out model to how you look like its a tiny bit like oedit it's great i can't wait this game is gonna be great i can't wait to make myself but with this picture it thing were you take your own photo and make a face is just fantastic, imagine if there was a face that you didn't like in the game it would be great to get a picture put it on the players face but as for face editing those pics must indicate that it is going to be something special and as the custom soundtracks this is also great news don't you just hate sitting at home on your edit mode and you need to spend some time on and you have listen to that same menotinous crapy konami made music i used to hate that no we have seen the new custom soundtrack editor I don't think we will be listening to that rubish much so as you can i am a large editing fan and i think these sceens indicate to a nice revamped one.
As for the screens posted before by tomx (great find thanks alot) i like the level of detail on the players faces but I don't like the detail from far, and i'm also not liking the spurs and newcastle licence although i live in tottenham i don't like the dumb descion to pick those two teams but over all iam still impressed with the game and mostly the edit we have seen and heared about so far so thanks to bbc.alster and tomx for the info.

I have to say if you can map faces from photos and there are no silly limitations on what you can do with it could be one of the best features ever. If you can import your own music then that is something we've wanted for years.
