ps2 is pal, and i am using swap magic 3.6

the game works fine on my bros tv, but doesn't on two tv's at mine...

so i'm guessing my tv's don't support ntsc, thus giving me black and shite picture..

correct?

hope there is a simple way around it without having to get another tv

you mean a scart connection where the lead from the ps2 plugs into

or a whole new lead to connect from ps2 to tv...

the thing is my xbox plays ntsc games in colour?
 
Not all scarts will work. You need a one thats NTSC compatible or something, I had the same problem years ago.

right. looks like im stuffed.. but im looking through the internet for a manual.. hehe old tv...! to see if it is an RGB capable socket..

don't fancy my chances


edit: actually i wont even bother looking. im fooked! because the cable and ps2 work on my dads tv which is rgb, so that rules out the cable being the problem...

my tv is the prob..

well I got pal>ntsc switch on TV and it works
however, in swapmagic menu you got option load normal, load pal ,load ntsc
try it.

yeah it doesn't even switch mode because the tv doesn't support ntsc..

cheers anyway..

but what i don't understand is that my xbox plays colour on ntsc?
 
havn't played dvd's through ps2...

and dvd's through xbox are fine...infact anything through xbox are fine

now to something else wierd..

i used the swap magic pal setting, and started the game...guess what!

colour, i thought result!

except the game play is now so slow... so i changed back to ntsc and its fast and runs perfect except no colour...back to pal mode with swap magic, runs with colour but so bloody slow!

agh... looks like ill be playing it at my bros instead

I guess the XBOX already haws a built in NTSC to PAL thing. This is what you need:

I've got an old tv (maybe older than 6-10 years, dont know it used to be my parents tv)and this one works for me.

i have searched and searched google with no such luck...but i like the idea of this patcher working with this game...this would solve my prob...

i will look on that site...but if you know a direct link to it that would help...


as for the cable... i don't own a ps2, i have an xbox, but i am that desperate to play this game.. i have borrowed my bros ps2... and i dont really wanna go and buy a cable just for that...

so a patcher would be awsome if works...

like i said running the swap magic in pal mode, worked... but the game ran really slow...i wonder if the patch would make it this slow
 
i have now got the game in colour on my tv... i patched it from ntsc to pal..

full screen aswell... it plays a little slower tho i think!

is there a way to speed the game up like previous version... i think it was pro evo that you could change speed?

edit: it's ok i now have a fully working version of we 9 in pal

so no need for an rgb capable tv and scart..wow that was cheaper \\:o/
