Hi everyone,
I wanted to introduce United Football, an online PC football game that went offline around 2015.
We still have a small number of players from the original community around today, and after a long absence we have decided to bring the game back.
This is not a complete remake or an attempt to turn United Football into something completely different. The core game is still very much the original experience, with a number of updates and improvements to get it ready for a new release.
United Football will be returning on Steam as a Free to Play game, and the Steam page is now live for wishlisting.
A big part of the reason for bringing it back is simply that we did not want the game to disappear permanently. There were players who spent years competing, progressing their characters and building a community around it, and we felt the game deserved another chance.
Given Evo-Web's history with PC football games, particularly older PES and Winning Eleven titles, I thought some people here might appreciate seeing an older independent football game being brought back to life.
I'd also be interested to hear what people here remember most fondly about football games from the 2000s, and what you think modern football games have lost along the way.
If anyone wants to take a look, United Football is now listed on Steam:
Happy to answer any questions about the original game or what we're doing with the relaunch.
