got them and used them for the first time when flying back to northern ireland yesterday...
hmmmm, let's just say the jury is still out. maybe i wasn't playing the right songs or the bitrate was too low, but they aren't £140 better than the old belkin buds i had clipped on to my stock ipod earphones that i decided to replace!
BUT, during the flight, the amount of 'outside' noise was so low it felt like i was still on the ground and the planes's engines hadn't even started up!
ah well...

I used to have a pair of noise cancelling phones... They can be a bit of a hazard though - especially whilst biking down busy streets in London
