UFL [All Platforms]

Looks more fun than i through. Well, i don't even take it seriously and the tone is settle (no lies about realism)

It's a bit WTF as a game, indie whatever you want but if keepers are all that strong, and it seems... Yes, a bit balanced.
It remind me old Arcade game where you have to shoot 10 times a row to score.
The handling is perhaps too much, but for what i care as a F2P game i will play perhaps 10-15 matchs (perhaps more)...

Well, i won't talk about the defence but they aren't that bad positioned.

After, that boom head at 0:30 sec i laughed it looks like a shoot, one headbutt like that you die instantly.

We all saw the sombrero goals... perhaps they removed it, so not to take seriously, but for some laughs and "let of stream", playing strong direct and brainless with just instinct and testing some shitty stuffs to see if it works, that game could /relatively of course/ make his job like i don't know.

Makes me think as a mix with some older Fifa but much more easy to dribble and not too shitting on things like FIFA 15 and PES 15, well in discount and more direct, not very subtle at all, Edit: i would like that the game which should be a bit more brutal in terms of contacts, like the power of the shoots showing it and the super handling keeper with 120 kmh shoots...

My 2 cents but it could have some fun moments.

But never something to invest and stick on it, it seems too repetitive for that.

They should call it UFL 15.

but with every small pic or moving frame, it looks promising. give the time and hope we get rewarded.

I can see steps forward, more progress than efootball did...

I can see that it's becoming less "Fifa-ish" and the vid with keeper save, for the balance, is good.
But remember what they said about offline (again), it wasn't even in their mind to build something other than online.
One people asked a question they were like "What? It's not planned but we will try to give to football fans what they ask" etc.

Don't see a lot of people asking anywhere. Except in the mentionned game (Efootball) but they don't care, closing their eyes.
Another story but it's kinda linked. It's also about money, made by FUT style passionnate, young, as they practically "grown" with it : for them it's THE standard.

Some youth producers needs to learn a bit the history of gaming. It makes me think about people who start to make some Ragga Hip-hop (what we heard the most, urban shit... With zero culture about their heritage)

Watched the whole vid, it's rare. I hope they polished and no more sombrero + shoot on goal on the penalty area. They just need to tone down header strengh from what i saw in previous vids, it was like a shoot.
I just hope got the same awareness about what's on their pitch. More and more than on the trailer, like i loved the one with keeper's saves and catching especiaccly : a good way to balance a 10 min is to make GK strong.

It's something that i never too much took care to have "real human" keeper in skills terms (not too much superfly) to balance a game for having a better feeling while scoring at least : beat or the defense, or the keeper, or both if it's really well balanced. It's one way.
Turf color even with variation is like it should be in every F.G.

Well, i'm just waiting for a fun balanced and not "too much" about impossible feints and stuffs you can(t) do new game. I just described another 15-20 years old game here lol. But we need one.

It’s super minor, and I don’t want to make a fuzz about it…

I guess i was just a different breed of football fan! 🤷‍♂️

But hey, real 90 min matches are boring anyway! 😉

It's nice to see something aesthetically pleasing in comparison to the eyesores the other games represent. It's nice to see grass that is actually green and it's nice to see a next-gen level of attention to detail. If you just pretend you never saw the gameplay for this you can almost make yourself feel a dash of optimism.

In fact that's not really "next-gen", just good taste and vision about what a pitch should looks like, and they gives more attention to details.
Pitch system isn't technically super hard to do, just a good idea and they're doing it part by part : no need a super technology for it.
It's impressive what they're trying to do around the pitch. Now, on the pitch it's probably another inside team, details ok, but balance between fun and realism it's another thing.

If the game is super detailed around the pitch but PS3 level on with bad taste choice or color, or because they've got a light system that make everything and copy paste directly the color captured : less work for the devs. Sometimes things needs to be done artistically, not all based on PC/Console power features. I wouldn't care even in a manager game.
Like some anime/manga i'm watching using CGI (3D system) which looks super bad : they re-drawn on it often, but too quickly and it's ugly. There's no comparison with stuffs drawing without and well in terms of authenticity.

The guy said he will took everything in consideration regarding the fans. There's already an AI of course, but for your teamates : but they didn't built one for the CPU at the time.
So we're back to "only-online" or onlyne.

Just hope we can play with real teams on VS, their FUT-like doesn't interest me.... And i'm thinking there won't be anything else "finished" when they will release it. EF will still a prototype with the same modes/improved gameplay or not i don't care as it's the case...
And FIFA 23 an Hypermotion demo like the T-Rex on PS1.

One thing that retained my attention was the GK awareness, makes me feel that it could be, since a long time, rewarding and giving a good old school happiness feeling when you score. Well they did it with the keeper, but i don't forgot the first look trailer who was a PS3 game in 4K.

GOALSS will be in my opinion the worst of all. Fever Pitch Soccer but with no fun...

Looks decent, from what i see no skating.

Probably need to update new animation after the player scoring, the cpu is literally just standing.
It looks pretty fine for a game that new. Some kids commenting they want less animations, dumber defenders for faster gameplay in the comment

It will use Unreal Engine 5 and is going to have offline mode.
Ok, suddently my interest in UFL went from almost zero to quite high... where did you this information about it having offline? I recall them mentioning that it would be an online focused experience for the most part, did they say anything about what modes offline will include? A simple League/Cup mode would be more than enough already to justify me giving this a shot eventually, since it doesn't look half bad in the first place, even if it doesn't look extraordinary either.

Yes, the same for me. I never play online. Here:

Offline... But with friends on VS (like online with not a friend then, same exact system then, just materially talking), nothing regarding a CPU with his own autonomy.
They probably didn't programmed any kind of AI for the CPU, and don't want to "loose time" for now to do it.
Sad as the game looks fun.

I think "loose time" or "waste time" is the key word here.

This company, and the other probably, and any company that plans to develop a football game, and has a plan to compete straight with EA and KONAMI, for me it is doomed, to either fail, or end up with an online casino alternative. Cause EA and KONAMI, for good or bad, have an established history of 25+ years. With their golden eras, bad eras, false marketing eras, evolution eras, they have gone all the course of the circle.

In my eyes, when someone appears for first time, and says that he wants to top those 2 football games, exPES and exFIFA, he is false somewhere in his plan making.

I mean even 2K, it got them almost a decade, from 2000 to 2009 to create a decent basketball game, and only in 2011 they dethroned NBA live. And mark that the very first 5 years of NBA 2K, were some questionable or shitty installments. And NBA live was 15 years old.

Now we are talking about 2 football games that are by now 25 years old, even with different roadmaps now, efootball and EA sports FC (soon to be released).

I mean i find it pointless and cloudwalking, to aim so high, it would be better for a step-by-step setting of objectives.

Yes. I'm very hesitant about this game having offline mode to play against CPU bots. But on the other side, they need to code the AI that controls the other 10 players, so they are not that far from recreating the whole AI to play against a CPU team.

In this video they explained that their AI is splitted in AI bots (your rivals) and AI Assist (the IA that controls your teammates).

I'm pretty sure they won't include offline modes at the launch though.
