Transfer of the season

I think marukomu is refering to "Galactico-esque" players. Yes we've signed players that other teams were after but none of them we're the kind of players that would be considered major signings that made the whole football world stand up and notice. The closest we've come to a signing like that (other than Veron) was Ronaldinho, and even then it wasnt the same cuz he reached POTY status at Barca.
Its kinda like the difference between signing Torres back when he was in Atletico Madrid where he was still a great player, compared to signing Torres now from Liverpool after he's established himself as arguably the best striker on the planet.
My point is, we dont sign players who are as big as what Torres is right now but we do sign players similar to how big he was before joining you guys.

Ronaldo to Real 96.000.000 €
Kaka to Real 65.000.000 €
Karim Benzema to Real 36.000.000 €
Mario Gomez to Bayern 30.000.000 €
Diego to Juve 27.000.000 €

highest transfers till now.

3.17...Funny that the one that gave me the most problems was Manchester United 2002 and Lazio 2001.

This summer will go down as the craziest summer ever

Real with Ronaldo + Kaka and looking to bring in another 2-3

City will likely spend ridiculous amounts, Milan have 60M to spend, United have 100M to spend, Liverpool will look to bring in 1 big name. Chelsea also.

Cissokho today claimed that there is nothing wrong with his teeth, and Milan want to bring a world-class striker with no more than 20 mill.

30 mill tops for Milan :D They also did sell Gourcuff for 15.

I go for Diego for transfer of season judging from what I have seen in Bremen.

diego is good he is world class watch for him in world cup next year, bundesliga is not a very brazilian league and it has made him a player of great skill

Diego gets my vote too, so far anyway.

To me, it seems that the Barca-Inter Eto-Ibrahimovic transfer is the transfer of the season. According to the BBC it's Eto plus 35 million! I would have thought it should have been the other way around.

Yeah, Eto'o must really be a major butthole if they get rid of him +35 million Euros and, of all people, get Ibra in as a replacement.

Eto'o's price was nowhere near his value because of his contract soon expiring. As for Ibrahimovic i read Guardiola really had a soft-spot for him which actually made him top the coach's wishlist, despite negotiations over Villa taking place.
