I made a little research on how he did (especially scoring-wise) in big games in his career. the "big games" are the quarter final games and beyond for me (of course, this is my opinion).
Champions League
National Team
as for CL totals; 12 years, 6 quarter finals + 1 semi final, 13 games, 3 goals.
amongst these games, the only one his team won when he played is the 2nd leg of 2010 semi final where they were eliminated. the same year, the quarter final game he scored 2 goals against arsenal was a draw, in the other one he didn't play barcelona won 4-1.
as for NT career; maybe it can be said that it's almost non-existent. but I know that's not just down to him alone. maybe he would have been born as a spaniard, a german or an italian and been a winner, that wasn't a matter of choice for him, of course.
as for his Local League successes; yes, it's quite impressive but tbh with you I don't find it that impressive. he's almost always played for the dominant teams of their leagues in certain times. ajax had great players, juve before calciopoli was a galacticos, inter after calcipoli too, barcelona (we know it), milan before juve reborn, psg (we know it again). he played for such teams, yet his best achievement in champions league is just a single semi-final.
Zlatan is a fantastically gifted player (there's no doubt) and I always liked to watch him play and score some incredible goals, but actually liked to watch him play in less important games. IMO, unfortunately he's by no means a big game player. almost always did harm his own team more than doing the opponents in those games. I think he shouldn't really go down as a legendary player when he's done with football.
maybe it's still too early to speak all these things. because PSG have a fantastic team at the moment, when all players healthy, they have a squad that can really match with the semi final 4 of the last year. they showed glimpses of it last year, and now they also added a great, great player in Cavani as well. Marquinhos also is a great talent, easily a top defender for future. and among all their summer moves, Laurent Blanc can even be the best addition they did. it wouldn't be a huge suprise to me, if they make it to the semi final this year, at least.
so, that's all for the moment.
