Hey man, something that might be useful to you..

https://dl.fifa-infinity.com/fifa-17/patches/fifa-infinity-patch-17/

It is one of the only FIFA 17 patches that I am aware of. :) It has licensed Brasileirao, and many extra teams and players. :TU:
Installing this mod is quite easy, all you need is the mod itself and a program called Frosty Mod Manager, which is included in the link!

Enjoy mate! I've really liked FIFA 17, after playing a long cup I can really say I enjoyed it!

gracias mi amigo.
Im going to look into that as well.
Fifa 17 and 15 has always been my favourite Fifa games, i know 16 is amazing when modded and on pc , but for me mostly being on console those two have been better for me.
thanks a lot Millos

These issues can be fixed by modding career mode files or simply just use a career realism mod. For 17, I'd suggest you to use @Topaz's mod, which is available here (avoid Gameplay mods though):- Click Me!

For 16, go for @Paul-v's Career realism mod.
Couldnt find @Topaz Fifa 17 realism mod though, link led nowhere, but ill search and see if i can find it, if you stumble upon a working link feel free to post it buddy
Thanks

Thank you for pointing it out. The link has been fixed! Go back and click the same link. It will work properly. :)

Any page to download updated rosters for PC. I remember I really liked 18 and 17 too, but I kinda want to have an updated season, I don't really care for uniforms or dealing with frosty manager, basically just load a roster file

I wish 3D support wasn't dropped from Nvidia drivers.

Tried 3D on fifa 15 using reshades depth 3d hack and while not looking as good, the sense of depth is really something.

Brilliant mate, appriciate that
Started a new career on 17 using the realism mod by @Topaz , mind that i simmed a whole season on player career to test it out, and it seems to be working just fine.
BVB winning the league on 88p with only 2 losses (34 games played) and Bayern 2nd on 77p then a gap down to 3rd in points
So it looks its working just fine
Thanks to @Topaz and @DevPlays

All credits to my friend Topaz!
Anyway, did you check the Top Goal scorers and assisters as well? That would also be realistic!

A couple of things noticed from both playing and simming a lot of Fifa 17 lately ( 3 seasons played and multiple ones simmed)
I feel theres a difference between vanilla gameplay on console vs pc, console version feels and looks heavier, not as floaty as the pc version.
Though my now modded version on pc plays very different from vanilla pc version (for the better)

One odd thing, through my 3 seasons of career mode and multiple simmed seasons, Robert Lewandowski (Bayern M) hardly plays at all, around 10 games every season, guess Muller takes his position up front even though tactics have him as a RWF and Levandowski being a CF in a 4-3-3
Im going to set Fc Bayern as a 4-4-2 with both Muller and Levandowski as strikers and see if that works.
Probably tons of stuff like this in Fifa 17, but it bugs me a lot since i play Bundesliga

Are you on release version on console and the latest one on PC? If so, it's understandable. By any chance are you using the Default squad file which is just not updated? I mean, the latest official squad file was released back in September 2017.

currently enjoying fifa 16 1.0 with speedhack mod, 0.899, and only few sliders edited like pass speed and shot error, maybe pass error to 60, other than that OS sliders can t be used with speedhack, but it s really a very good game.

My Xbox One Version is the latest, but i think the pc version is 1.00
Feels very different from each other, not in a bad way but Console version much heavier, and squads are the last they updated.

Great game, my only issue being on console is pass % (cpu) is always 90% plus.
Good attacking and defensive ai, like 15s which i really like as well

By the words of so many people, updated FIFA 17 is less buggier, more enjoyable footy game. So, your feeling is right. I only played the latest version of this game. So, I can't confirm it by myself though. If you downloaded the game thru EA App, it should be the latest version. Even if you downloaded the cracked one, it's still the latest version of the game!

If you want to access all the Squad Files and Databases of any FIFA game (since 98), you can visit here and download them! : Click Me!

You can find latest squad file of FIFA 17 there and update it on your PC version!

Still feel that the modded version is really solid, not to worried about squads, pretty nice to play when both Messi and cr7 were really sharp etc.
Closing up my 3rd season with Darmstadt, and im really tempted to give my FIFA 18 a swing,
And thanks buddy

Remarkably, the best memories I have from playing Fifa, are from playing Fifa 98. I've bought a couple of the recent ones and they don't even come close. Technically more impressive, of course, but the soul is gone.

Is it all but impossible to get the PC versions of FIFA 98 RTWC and FIFA 99 working on Windows 11?

I read that it was possible but I just can't get them working. The Desktop resizes to 640x480 and then nothing happens.

It's a very long shot, but considering that they're from the same period and from the same developer maybe it's still worth a try: it looks like NHL 99 works in FIFA 10 (according to this guide, which I used to make NHL 99 playable in Windows 10 some months ago) if using a Glide wrapper.
This is a similar guide covering FIFA99, suggesting to use nGlide, maybe it works.
If it does, maybe using nGlide would solve the problem for FIFA 99 too. If it doesn't... Maybe VirtualBox is an option or, even better I believe, PCem.

I did some posts in the retro gaming thread some months ago regarding those PC classics and the configuration. You can play all those FIFA classics natively vía PCem emulator, and also all the games from that period runing with graphic acceleration via Voodoo and 3dfx. You just need to tweak some parts on the beggining when you start PCem and then you can use Windows 95 or 98 like on any real classic Pentium II MMX PC.

EDIT: @Chris Davies sorry , I forgot to share the initial post:

From that post onwards I think you'll find everything related to that particular discussion between me, @*aLe , @millossobek & @Madmac79 ... Have fun!
