super joy box 4 problem

I just got the super joy box 4, 2players converter because I wanted to use my dual shock 2 to play pes5 and i cant get it to work.
I installed the drivers and when i plug it in it just saying "usb device not recognized". i tried to plug it in at all the different usb ports but still the same problem. I have windows xp sp1.

if anyone can help it will be much appreciated.

I had tried to just plug it in at first, but it didn't work either, then I installed the drivers and it didn't help too. I think i will try to upgrade to sp2 as u suggested and i'll see if it works, this is the only hope left, thanks man.
 
When i go to the control panel and check on the the "usb controllers" section inside the device manager there is something called "USB2 Enhanced host controller" and it saying that it works properly, is that what u mean?
 
It seems like I just got a defective usb adapter, i'll get a new one soon, anyway thank u for trying to help.
