The reason I was asking is this Video of the xbox version shows widescreen, but I wanted to get it for ps2 (guess Ill wait for the xbox one )

that doesnt mean its in widescreen, its streched by the tv too fit on a widescreen tv, nothing to do with the game itself

Watch the video. It is not stretched, I play WE8 stretched all the damn time believe me it looks VERY different. The shot in particular that shows it's not stretched is the shot of the Goal kick from behind the keeper....

the ps2 has enough on its plate already it cant cope, if it had to display even more it would die on its ass.

Theyd be removing the stadiums never mind the crowd, xbox could piss it though.

Ye your right but I think you will find the 360 and ps3 will have WS and may even have Dolby 5.1. It would be nice to have it on the pc version now but dont hold your breath
