i'm having problems with shooting. sometimes the button doesn't work, other times when i tap it, to roll it in the corner, it flies over the bar?! What the dillio is going on?

That is the way it is supposed to be. 
Well, seriously, the button should work. There are situations where you might not be able to shoot right away, for example you might have to wait for the right moment to be able to get the shooting bar up when going for a volley. It is just a matter of learning by training and just shooting and shooting.
As for the ball going over the bar alot, that is the way PES6 is. If you like me cannot stand it, there isn't much to do. The shooting is extremely sensitive and sometimes pressing the button very lightly once is enough to send it a meter over. Sad but true.
