Schumacher gets a little comeuppance

This one amused me.

Michael Schumacher has been penalised for overtaking under debatable safety car conditions in today's Monaco F1 race. It's not clear that safety car conditions were still in operation when he pulled off his overtaking move on the very last corner of the very last lap. However, the stewards have concluded that Schumacher was at fault and have penalised 20 seconds, demoting him from 6th to 12th, and removing his points for the race.

It just so happens that Damon Hill was one of the race stewards - the same Damon Hill that, in 1994, in the final race of the season, with Schumacher and Hill vying for the title, Schumacher leading the race with Hill right behind, Schumacher clipped a wall, effectively ending his race and handing the title to Hill, but as Hill overtook the helpless Schumacher, he deliberately swerved and crashed into Hill, ending both car's races and cheating himself the title.

A quick look around youtube brings back memories of just what a cheating cunt Schumacher was over the years.

So nice one Damon, a little bit of revenge. Suck it up, Schumacher!

I think the overtake is legal.

Article 40.13: If the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pit lane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking.

FIA had announced ‘Safety Car in this lap’ early on lap 78 and the track had been declared clear by race control and then marshals showed green flags and lights after safety car line one. On previous occasions when it has been necessary to complete a race under a safety car, full course yellows are maintained.
This is what Ross Brawn and Mercedes thought and I have the same opinion to be honest.

Hill is a bum!! The only reason he won the title in 96 was that the Ferrari was a shit heap! Also Damon was lucky Villenueve never won the title in his first year. How humiliating for Hill if his team mate in his first year pulled his pants down.

7 world titles. Not bad for a cunt eh?:BRMM:
