Rainbow Six : Vegas 2

Yeah I want to but my nana is ill and in hospital for the next 7 weeks :((. And they live about 70 miles away from my house so I'm going up there every weekend so will be out of action for a few months sadly.
 
I just finished this game and boy what a ride it was. With out a doubt the most realistic sim shooter game I ever played. And the most freaking hard game I've had to finish. Took me ages to finish it due to the amazing AI, but I finally did it.

Great sim game, need lots of patience to play this game. Graphics weren't next-gen but were polished and acceptable in my view. I really had a blast playing the single player campaign. Very frustrating game due to it's difficulty, but well worth it the ride.

What difficulty are you playing it on? Realistic? I found Realistic very hard, but after memorising the levels it was fine, I'm about half-way through so far.

I agree

Pity the maps on multiplayer weren't up to scratch or id still be playing it

Yes mate, realistic it was. All the reviews had said how realistic this games are, and so I figured I find out for myself by playing it on realistic mode to get the best possible realism out of it. But, boy did I regret doing this half way through. Some checkpoints, not to mention levels, took me ages to complete. At times, I was literally shaking in my boots like a little coward praying for a baddy not to pop out of a corner, alley, or column to shoot me. There were other times where after laboriously making it through a crazy close combat scenario right before reaching a checkpoint, I found myself too scare to take one more step down those dark quite corridors which most times had a bad guy hiding perfectly behind cover waiting to take you out.

This game was sick! and I am proud to have finished it on realistic mode.

Kudos to you jflores! I can only imagine how difficult this game can be on single player realistic mode.

After I finished the story mode on normal, I started it all over again on realistic, but playing co-op with a mate. So every time one of us got iced, the other would hold until the respawn.

Nice game indeed... "Aim for the head!" :mrgreen:
 
You only get the real feel for this game on Realistic because then they can shoot like you, meaning head shots and stuff
 
Anyone online for Rainbow tonight? If there's just a few we can do Terrorist Hunts, if there's more we can do team survival and other modes?
 
Stupid question but can anyone who still has this game tell me if this is still played by a decent chunk of people online?

Bought CoD5 yesterday, gutted because it's utter poo compared to the last one IMO, and this is only £18 at GAME now...

EDIT: Should probably elaborate... I want a shooter to play online, Gears 2 is alright but it's full of elites, I was looking forward to CoD5 a lot but the maps are tiny, the pace is ridiculous, it's full of glitches and it's just not a patch on the last one. So I'm thinking R6V2 will be more my kind of thing, but if there's hardly anyone still playing it then I won't bother.

Apparantly there's loads. A guy in my work is ADDICTED to it online. I'm talking this guy plays it every day for HOURS, and has been for six months or so now. A few other lads in work play online as well and they reckon there's still a really good community on there.
 
Weird this has been dug up but me and my mates were talking about this last night and thinking of getting it again

COD5 got boring quickly and its been weeks and weeks before we last played it so we need a new shooter and what with the Calypso Casino level being downloadable now (i wasn't a fan of the Vegas 2 maps) it seems its worth grabbing again
 
Cheers, I'll get this now. I've been told I'm getting a GAME voucher for Christmas off someone tomorrow so I'll nip out whenever they're next open and grab it. :)
 
i have just found out i can trade in Burnout and COD5 and get Vegas 2 and Tiger Woods 09 (another game we talked about) for free :))
 
Yeah I'll be up for some Rainbow again :)). It's a game you can actually play with randoms too, (obviously more fun with mates - who wouldn't enjoy teabagging CW over and over?), but if you jump into a game of randoms, sometimes they can be good fun :)).

I need a bigger xbox hard drive! 12GB just ain't enough :((.

i sold mine for gta4. great game while i had it. might steal my bro's copy :P
 
Bought this around Christmas and took it back not long after - it's a good game but at this point in time it's just packed full of elites. You can't get near anyone because they've unlocked all the killer equipment. Big shame but never mind - weirdly enough I'm really getting into Call of Duty 5 now, it's run and gun but the one thing it's got going for it is that you can kill people without being massively held back by your rank.

Looking forward to the third one though, I'll get into that one before it's too late.
 
i found that games like cod5 require you to actually be good at it to have fun and get a decent score whilst games like bf bc doesnt require you to just kill as many as you can.

its why i love bf bc more and why search and destroy is the best mode on the cod series.
 
I was playing this online a few nights ago with some work colleagues ... and Brunnoce joined our game and decided to kill me more than a few times.

Me and CW are going to go on this and do some Terrorist Hunts tonight on 360. Anyone else is welcome to join us :)). If we get a fair few of us we could even start a team deathmatch room.

how do you get this downloadable content to work.

I just bought and tried this on ps3 and installed map pack but its not working.
