I realized my ps3's fan noise increases only after 10 or 15 minutes of playing the game. Is that normal?

The noise isn't bothering me I'm just worried qhy my ps3 is overheating so fast.

Its sitting verticly on an open space nothing is blocking the air flow. My room is the coldest at my house 18-20 degrees celsius.

Is the game causing my ps3 to overheat or is it normal?
 
normal yes.
some ps3's are louder than others, my fan kicks in sporadically an can get loud.

Oh I read online that some people sent their ps3 to sony and replaced it with a quiter one. Others claim that sony told them they can only replace it if it actually overheats anf shutdown.
