PS2 controllers on PC

is it possible to play with ur ps2 controllers through ur USB port? I actually mean, is it possible to configure the buttons in the PES 2009 PC game?

Hey mate . It is possible to use your ps2 controllers on your PC . You'll need to get an adapter to plug your controller into the usb slot. There are heaps on ebay.

And then its just a matter of configuring the buttons in the settings.exe

easiest thing is still the xbox wireless hub, if you have vista 64 ps2/3 controllers wont work

I use PS2 pads on VISTA and it works like a charm. Dont even have to configure the buttons, its preconfigured when I plug them in...

szaabi, what USB adaptor are you using? I have the Play one and it comes up as "Human Interface Device" not a game controller. I've used the EMS driver that supposedly fixes things but the button configuration is all over the place. It's doing my head in.

Exact same layout as PS2 controller, sturdier (helpful when you get angry), and works like a dream in PES

Thanks Dandy. My PS2 pad + Play Logitech USB adaptor worked a treat on XP, but now I have Vista I have problems. I don't particularly want to fork out £30 for a couple of new pads just because Microsoft are making it prohibitively expensive for Logitech to release a legit Vista driver. Basically MS want us all to buy 360 pads.
