Problem with Setting.exe

I have both Pes 4 and Pes 5 installed (c:\program files\konami\pes 4 and c:\........\pes 5, respectively) I have since had a problem with the setting.exe not saving for PES 4 when I restart the game. All of the screen resolution, brightness, and button configurations have to be reset each time. Pes 5 is fine, however. Any ideas?
