Champions League
- 18 May 2006
- Team
- SL Benfica
Hey!
I'm one of those, like many, that misses a proper career mode for PES..since the Master League is no good at all. Hopefuly Rikman will bring a new dimension to it when he releases his engine (check this topic), but he's working abroad so he will only be able to continue his work when he's back.
Meanwhile, I thought I could do something to enjoy PES6 another way.
So this is what I'll try..I'll start a career, played on PES6, but simulated on FM09. I'll play every competition, with qualifying rounds, real european competitions from the FM draws. I'll start a season on FM (unemployed, just to 'follow' the game world), and play the games according to the team I picked on PES.
For the league, I'll play a league on PES. For the cup I'll play Cup rounds..for european group stages, I'll play small leagues.
All this by using w!Ld@'s fm to pes stats converter.
At the end of each season, using FMRTE (a tool for FM), I'll be able to edit the game and sort the league table as it happened on PES (for the teams that were champions/promoted/get to european competitions mirror on FM). I'll be able, at any point, to set transfer status for my players (listed or loan) and expect the board to get the deals.
As I perform, I'll get the chance to sign for other teams (from lots of leagues)...I've made a formula explaining how can I get points required to move teams.
All teams on FM have a reputation.. I reduced 3000 points to all of them for better handling.
For example, Real Madrid leads the chart with 6500, followed by Barcelona and Manchester United with 6450 and 6350. Benfica 5150, Atletico 4850, Portsmouth 3750, Koln 3300, Corinthians 3500, just for example.
So to be able to manage those teams I'll have to get its minimum points (and some other conditions on better teams, to make it changelling to get to the top).
How do I get points:
I'll be able to apply to any team that sacked its manager from June to September. If I can meet the conditions for those teams, I can sign for them...if I meet the conditions to be sacked, I'll have to change team too.
I will follow FM transfers, so it's possible that on the second season I'll have Robinho on Chelsea. For my team, I'll update it according to the FM signings/sales too. I like the idea of the board taking control of the signings, but I'll think if I'll do it too...it's easy. I can transfer players with that FMRTE real time editor. I'd just have to create a way of making money (or using FM budget/wage budgets - that I can also change - and sign which players I want, making some formulas to keep it realistic, and not being able to sign Cristiano Ronaldo for Bolton. Every team has a reputation, and every player has it too, so it wouldn't be hard.
About player development, at the end of each season I'll update each player stats, again, based on FM, using the stats converter.
Limitations:
- No mid season transfers for most leagues. It can only be used on those south american leagues that use Apertura and Clausura.
- No more than 20 teams for league (PES limitation). I'll have to turn around that for Championship (24), Serie B (22)...
- On cup/european matches I'll assume the position I kick out on PES (in case the team Im playing doesn't qualify on FM)
- As it concern for tranfers..I can set my player indispensable (using FMRTE), but that doesn't mean the board won't sell him, I think. But that's realistic, in my opinion.
So...I'll try this new challenge this summer..I plan to go on for several seasons, even with players from youth system...trying different leagues and finally giving good use to all excelent creations from PES community, as for example, those nice ukranian stadiums I barely use nowadays.
This may sound harder than it is..because, since FM is simulating the other matches, I'll only need to create the teams Im playing with...so, my league teams plus all teams I meet in cups and european competitions...so that's no more than 30, or so.
If somebody is interested, I can post the career story here, like a diary, since that Master League stories Thread is dead...
Sorry for the long post

So to be able to manage those teams I'll have to get its minimum points (and some other conditions on better teams, to make it changelling to get to the top).
How do I get points:
Leagues are divided in 4 levels since it's not the same if you achieve something in La Liga or the Cyprus League, obviously.
Level 1: Spain, England, Italy, France, Germany
Level 2: Portugal, Holland, Turkey, Scotland, Russia, Greece, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil
Level 3: Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Switerzland, Serbia, Cyprus, Chile, Mexico, Japan, Championship (England)
Level 4: Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, USA, Uruguay, China, Belarus, Serie B, 2.Bundesliga
For each league, there's objectives (according to FM) and 5 possible outcomes:
- Champion
- Champions League
- European Competitions
- Mid Table
- Relegation
So...this may sound complicated, but it's not
This is how I get points according to my season objective, final standing and league's level:
CHAMPION
Level 1: 2000 points(if my objective was to be champion); 2500 (if my objective was to get CL); 3000 (Objective:European qualification); 2500(Objective Mid Table); 4000 (Objective Avoid Relegation).
Level 2: 1500; 1750; 2000; 2250; 2500
Level 3: 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000; 2250
Level 4: 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000
So, if Im champion with Manchester United I get 2000 points. If I'm champion with Fenerbahce, 1500. With Sunderland, 4000.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION
Level 1: 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000; 2500
Level 2: 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000
Level 3: 750; 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750
Level 4: 500; 750; 1000; 1250; 1500
If I get a Champions League spot with Inter, I'll only get 1250, because I'm under my objective, for example.
EUROPEAN QUALIFICATION
Level 1: 750; 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750
Level 2: 500; 750; 1000; 1250; 1500
Level 3: 250; 500; 750; 1000; 1250
Level 4: 125; 250; 500; 750; 1000
MID TABLE (avoid relegation)
Level 1: (-2000); (-1000); 500; 750; 1000
Level 2: (-1500); (-750); 250; 500; 750
Level 3: (-1000); (-500); 150; 250; 500
Level 4: (-750); (-250); 100; 200; 350
So, if I get bad results, like teams fighting to be Champion and getting CL spot, and don't even make to europe, I'll even lose manager points.
RELEGATION
Level 1: (-4000); (-2500); (-1500); (-1250); (-1000)
Level 2: (-2500); (-2000); (-1000); (-750); (-500)
Level 3: (-1500); (-1000); (-750); (-500); (-250)
Level 4: (-1000); (-750); (-500); (-250); (-175)
This is how many points I lose if I get relegated, considering my start of the season objective and the league Im playing (more or less impact)
But obviously, I get points from other competitions:
CUP
Level 1
Each round: (1000 / Number of total rounds) + 500 for winner
Level 2
Each round: (750 / Number of total rounds) + 250 for winner
Level 3
Each round: (625 / Number of total rounds) + 125 for winner
Level 4
Each round: (500 / Number of total rounds) + 75 for winner
LEAGUE CUP
Level 1
Each round: (750 / Number of total rounds)
Level 2
Each round: (625 / Number of total rounds)
Level 3
Each round: (500 / Number of total rounds)
Level 4
Each round: (350 / Number of total rounds)
UEFA CUP
Qualifying Rounds
100 x 1 (level 1 teams) or 1.2 (level 2 teams) or 1.4 (level 3 teams) or 1.6 (level 4 teams)
Pre Group Round
150 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Group Stage
Qualification to next round: 200
Each win: 50
Each draw: 25
Round 3
200 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Round 4
225 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Quarter finals
250 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Semi finals
300 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Final
Winner 500
So...let's say a level 1 team (from England or Italy) wins every match since qualifying round...it will make:
100 + 150 + 200 + 200 (4 wins) + 200 + 225 + 250 + 300 + 500 = 1925
A team from Sweden:
160 + 240 + 320 + 320 + 360 + 400 + 480 + 800 = 2760
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
1st Qualyfing Round
150 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
2nd Qualyfing Round
200 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
3rd Qualyfing Round
250 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
No qualification to group stage (let's say Liverpool or Ajax lose on 3rd qualifying round):
Level 1: (-1000)
Level 2: (-500)
Group Stage
Presence: 250
Qualification to next round: 400
No Qualification for level 1 teams: (-250)
Each win: 100
Each draw: 50
Round 2
350 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Quarter Finals
400 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Semi Finals
500 x 1 or 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.6
Final
Winner 750
SUPERCUP
Level 1: 250
Level 2: 200
Level 3: 150
Level 4: 100
EUROPE SUPER CUP
500
WORLD CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
350
Each win: 50
