Others have already said why but just to re-iterate:

- we haven't got a demo
- we haven't been given any official news or information on the PC version other than it is "its own thing" - a cop-out statement if ever there was one.
- we've been treated as second class citizens by Konami for the past few years.
- there's no need to pre-order digital products other than to pre-load if you have slow internet (we don't know if this service will be available anyway).

There's just no sense in pre-ordering a digital product that we know so little about.

But each to his own.

Very true, I wont be doing a thing until Ive seen many posts about it after release to know what we .. are .. umm ... "not" going to get with the data :)

Yep, I'm tempted to give it a week after release to see what the vibe is on the forum. I'm so disenfranchised with the PES series (despite PES2015 being a decent game) that I'm not particularly bothered about getting this game day one any more.

I think the only saving grace will be the gameplay will be the same as the PS4 version like last years, even if people said they felt a difference it really waant much if anything at all.

I expect the graphics to look pretty bad.

Graphics didn't look that bad last year , only sometimes .

Having played both versions extensively, there was a difference, I would even say a big one. From AI player movement to positioning, to response times. Ball physics felts different too. The PS4 version was clearly a better version of the game with added elements. That's without mentioning the amount of little transition animations you don't notice in videos but only notice with the controller in your hand which change the way you respond to the game.

I think the best case scenario is this:
  • they put in the new animations to make it smooth like PS4
  • they put in the collision goodness
  • they put in the new editor features
  • they put in injuries in ML/BAL

but they still downgrade the graphics (which like we agreed before can be fixed with tools/patches/mods). I came up with these points since they said it's gonna have more features of the PS4 but still not be a direct port.

I'm quite optimistic I know. I mean, they can't repeat the same mistake and deliver us a completely stripped-down 100% PS3/X360 game right? RIGHT?! :II

Is it described exactly the same as the next gen versions see the points at the bottom. Maybe it's closer to the next gen than we thought if not that's yet another cock up by Konami

More than sometimes. LOD was the problem. With Jenkey's LOD tool the game used to look razor sharp. Without it the game really doesn't have the clarity I expect from PC games. Konami could provide their own LOD sliders, or any graphical settings for that matter, but they don't because the PC is an afterthought to them.

Like last year, PES 2016 steam page clearly shows PS4/XB1 gameplay and screenshots. Wonder how many poor sods will be duped by that alone.
