360 dribbling confirmed for PC,

Article:

Konami unveils new 360-degree control system, and more key gameplay advances determined by fan requests

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that PES 2010 will benefit from 360-degree control and further elevating the unrivalled realism of the title.

The announcement comes following Konami’s close contact with the global network of PES and football fans, who have played a key role in the development of the new game. Via forums and feedback, the PES Productions team in Tokyo has canvassed opinion on elements fans hoped to see included in PES 2010, and 360-degree control was part of the long list.

360-degree control will be available on both the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD versions of the game via the analogue sticks on the respective controllers. The system will allow players to spread the ball with ease, opening up new attacking and defensive possibilities. PLAYSTATION 3 owners will also benefit when using the Dual Shock’s D-Pad, but Xbox 360 and Win D-Pads are limited to eight-directional control due to technical limitations of the hardware.

Konami has also confirmed a number of similarly crowd-pleasing elements as requested by the fan base, including:

Manual Goalkeepers: PES 2010 will be the only football title to offer users complete control of the keeper. Players can switch to their goalkeeper at any time, and will enjoy total control of his actions.

New Goalkeeper Moves: Players can now perform quick under-arm throws to their nearest defender to get attacks rolling more quickly

All-New Animation: Key animation related to dribbling, running, turning, etc, has been reworked and enhanced, creating a more natural and organic feel to the way players chase down balls, change direction and move around the pitch. The result is a more fluid and natural look to the game.

Fine-tuned Close Control: The PES Productions team has worked to improve trapping of the ball and basic close control elements, giving the user more ways to spread and move the ball around effortlessly.

Manual Ball Request: The ability to demand the ball when running into space is now available to the player, and will be accessible in all game modes, such as multi-player, online, etc.;

Will there be manual passing? (..and I mean really manual, not the konami kind of "manual") At least nobody's mentioned it..

Since you created this thread I assume you'll be going for the PC version eh Nick? :)

I can't wait to try out the demo. Btw, is PES2010 on PC next-gen? Cuz apparently fifa10 on pc isnt, and generally fifa on pc is supposed to be bad anyway. I can't imagine I'll have to buy a console just to play PES 2010.lol

The demo is usually a waste of time pes2008 and 2009 were that similar it was unbelievable. Only thing i'm bothered about is if you can play online without any lag or teleporting of players. Thats where the main problems are.

Gamescom and Beyond...

It's been a few weeks since the last post, but Jon Murphy has updated the Konami Blog.

It's a reflection on the recent Gamescom event and he touches on how fan feedback has changed the game for the better.

“Me again.

A couple of big things to report. First off we've now announced all the fan improvements. I've been dying to tell everyone about all the improvements so it's a relief everything is out in the open!

I've been checking feedback through forums and I think for the first time in a couple of years we've gone beyond expectations. Once again, thanks to everyone who gave the team feedback which influenced development. Long may this process continue.

Code shown at Gamescom seemed to go down well with those who got a game or two. I've seen some discussions since (and a few videos) and certain points have caused concern, particularly keepers. As Seabass said the code was a month old and improvements are still being made. I have to say that from my experience of recent code keepers are much, much more competent. Cheap rebound goals are gone and most handle the ball well. Occasional mistakes are still made, but that's as it should
be - it happens in real life.

For me the other big news is we've finished player photo and video shoots. It's great to see the finish line!

Not long to go now until we release a demo for everyone to test. You'll get a chance to see the new PES for yourselves and make up your minds about how we've reflected what the what fans want.

Cheers,
Jon

i think these specs are a little bit too high... mostly RAM specs... 1,5gb as a minimum is silly...

if that's not a joke, then it's so stupid...

if you want ps3 graphics, buy yourself a ps3...

we want normal pc football game, with normal specs...

How about they just build a scalable engine and satisfy us with high end pcs and those with the lesser pcs.:))
