PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Well WENB was right about the news not being anything big. Why bother with a count down for something like this?

And the feedback forum on WENB I guess is a step at the right direction if they're actually going to listen to the people. Personally I believe they just do this to say "look we care about feedback like EA does!!!" and not because they actually DO care.

And the feedback/suggestions will only be for very minor things because there is not time enough for implementing big things for PES 2010 now, they should have done this right after 2009 was released.

And another thing about the new video, if they really do listen to the fans like they said in it, why not just hint about something they added that we have asked for? I mean PES doesn't come out that long after FIFA does it? And FIFA have announced a lot of things they have looked into that the community has given feedback on. All EA Sports games does this now and it is great for the community to see that they can help making the games better.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think it's due to some changes in the PES set up Gab, I'm certain Konami have shuffled things and the new guys in there are looking at taking PES into the next decade in a less closed off direction.
This has to be a good thing though as you said unless we are asking for things that they have already worked on there is no hope of addition for 2010...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I suppose konami are kind of "damned if you do" attitude but "would'nt it be nice to get on with me neighbours" is how they must feel.I mean they must know that they have been losing ground, but i really believe that sooner or later they will crack it and bring out a game that will redeem them.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

they are listening to fans... well..

this gets a sci-fi game each year...i expected that..nothing new..

i just wish someone could rebuild the manager mode and maybe master league mode in PES6...

Becouse it is the last football game that was made great by Konami...

dissapointed realy...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think it is good that Konami opened a feedback section on WENB, but I am wondering something:
If they now start to ask what we like and what we do not like, they are probably not entirely sure what we really want. In that case I really wonder what they put in PES 2010.
This feedback is too late for that version.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Didn't Konami say that they have been using the PESFAN forums for feedback earlier? I guess they never bothered to actually look up the feedback there, but now on wenb they surely will. I just find it a bit weird, why not put up their own forum with a feedback section like EA.

i coudnt agree more...
i wish some "guru"(like Juce and Rob) could come up with a way to improve the gfx of PES6 PC too, that would be amazing...

The EA forums are most likely the very reason why Konami have not opened their own official forums. I mean look at the state of the Fifa section, a place dominated by txtspk and Ronaldo avatars. I couldn't trawl through the shit on that place every day.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Having to crawl thru that muck is nothing compared to losing 75% of sales. I would rather filter through that shit.

PES hasn't had a drastic fall in sales. I may be wrong but didn't PES2008 sell in record numbers? PES got to the top without the need for fan feedback forums, so I think that 'PES wants you' is there to appease the fans to an extent. Konami will probably do what they want anyway, as will EA.

But it's still a welcome step, nonetheless.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hmmmm, will all these clubs and NT's really be licensed?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PES_2010

We all know wikipedia is never wrong.:P But if that article is true, then that's pretty sick to have all that licensed content.

Also I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I hope they fix the GK gloves in '10. The gloves in '09 are awful!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I don'tget it, how did they lose Serie A. Instead of inserting new leagues, they are loosing them. Idiots.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yes, but in wikipedia says if it's true that Serie A, La Liga and EPL are partially licensed.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yes, but in wikipedia says if it's true that Serie A, La Liga and EPL are partially licensed.
1st: Never believe Wikipedia
2nd: They didn't have the Spanish and Italian league licences in PES 2009 and still had all Italian and most Spanish teams. As far as I know there are no restriction in licensing teams from Italy and Spain (like in EPL) and it was only due to the late loss of the LFP licence that there were not all teams.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Didn't htey say that while they wouldn't have La Liga's name and logo licensed this year, that they'd have all the teams? And same with the Serie A. So no worries.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

There's no point in discussing about licenses in my opinion. First there are a lot of "major" issues to fix, then you can think about licenses..

In my opinion, these things have to be addressed before thinking about the licenses..

Gameplay: I'd really like to see a proper gameplay, with the players actually doing what they're told, and with teammates actually following the "flow" of the action. In 2008 (well, that's when PES2009 came out) it was unacceptable to ruin an offensive play built up perfectly just because a teammate didn't run when expected (when TOLD, seeing that the "through-pass" button is there for that purpose)..
Animations: Please, no more players running like they have skewers up their spine. Please.
And well, why can't Konami perform a motion capture session also with a proper keeper as they did with Messi? It'd be a solution for all the ones (like me) that think that GKs are absolutely wrong and awful..
Atmosphere: When I play a PES match I'd like to feel like I'm attending a real match, with the crowd reacting accordingly to what happens on the field..
I mean players being whistled when tackling a man down with purpose, or being applauded when they get the ball with a dangerous tackle or perform a 40-metres-long flawless pass.. Maybe also the olé's that the fans of a team winning by a large margin do when their players pass the ball when the match is about to end..
Come on Konami, when in PES a team gets the equalizer (or even the winning goal) at 90+, you barely notice that a goal has been scored!!

Once all these things have been properly addressed, we can start talking about new game modes and licenses..

Do you prefer a football game that feels and (even more) PLAYS proper even without licenses, or a simple executable that allows you to see all the shirts in the world but without letting you actually PLAY football?

Up to you ;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Some new news tomorrow coming according to SteveM (Konami staff) off WENB. Said it will feature some gameplay information

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

What's most important to me is that some journalists are going to playtest the game, and wenb too

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

a lot of things were already said and i agree with most of you.
but i dont complain about licences. there are always good of's! so this doesnt matter to me. (or am i wrong with this?)

what need to be fixed or overhauled are things like animations, crowd reactions, the gloves of the gk FOR SURE, 360 degree movement (PLZ !!!!!), team AI and through pass.

anyway, open up a suggestions option to the website last week is a little late, isnt it?!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

@aitk3n have you actually played PES2009?
I have put in about 700 hours of play and it admittedly isn't ''da best PES eva!!'' but its not as bad as what people make it to be.
BAL and offline multiplayer are still bags of fun.
Its one of the loosest PES games, the ball doesn't move on rails as apparently as before. But its also one of the simplest to dribble around the defence.
And is also held back by the rigid animations. I want to freak out when a crunching tackle is committed from behind and the victim just drops to his bum.

I still have a good feeling about PES 2010.
Then again, I'm a rabid fanboy.

mate, i own pes 2009 :FAIL: so really i do know what im talkin about, just some people need to be realistic rather than just saying pes 09 is good, look for amount of money paying, its not even worth arcade title, its unrealistic, you can't turn that fast as they do, not even cristiano ronaldo or messi

Making scandolous and unfounded accusations about Adam's other halves pleasure bits aint gonna be tolerated Cammey. :R1

Oh wait... you meant, PES?

Seriously though, we've already made our stance clear on the uselessness of posting derogatory stuff about WENB here, so try to keep the topic going the right direction. Thanks.

You are a little disinformed
They are not going to play Pes tomorrow, that's Fifa
They can't say anything when they playtest both Fifa and Pes
