PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

i can't wait till midnight and see how annoyed everybody is and how frustrated they will be to see nothing special.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Oh what cockteasers.

You do not put a big old countdown up unless you're about to unveil something funkadelic. Then again, I didn't expect anything much, so there were no expectations to dash.

I'm trying to think of where the next batch of info will come from, but I'm drawing a blank. It's been a few weeks since we've had anything at all so something must be in the works somewhere. The suspicious lack of anything gameplay-ey is a bit odd but I guess that we're still early in the game, we've got a few more months of this yet.

Oh yes, badger's back.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think everyone had anticipated that nothing interesting would be on the site. The "have your say" bit is the only thing I can see that's new but evo-web seems to have been left in the shadows.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

WTF konami invite us to tell them what we want to see in the game, then when you try you cant. is it me? or do you have to be japanese to appreciate this game of cat & mouse for info (or giving it). never mind wait till they tell us AGAIN that this year online will be solid then we can all piss ourselves laughing. you couldnt make it up

The fact that PES has it's own official site for the first time I can remember is interesting in itself. Konami are definitely doing things differently this year. The big info comes next month; a magazine has the exclusive, not sure which one yet.

As for Evo-web being left in the shadows; with the vitriol towards PES on this place over the last couple of years can you blame Konami?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I really expected more from that -

Instead it was quite hilariously konami all over

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Konami simple.

WE WANT=Fluidity of players, AI positioning, Ball movement, defenders who defend. The ability to mix home and away kit like PES5(little thing but big difference)

WE DON'T WANT= People sending you stuff like poor net movement, hair not blowing the correct way, lack of untucked shirts(more for cammy)

Think carefully, don't kill the franchise i have enjoyed playing from ISS

and don't let this game be...

I'm not too familiar with the vitriol on here but over at PESGaming there is a huge majority who have slagged off PES2009 and the Fifa thread is way more active than any PES related threads.

It seems WENB have got an official feedback forum moderated by Konami. The bastards.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

typical konami, whats the point of a have your say bit when pes2010 is nearly finished,i can see already the "your ideas will be added to pes 2011 and 2012" total waste of time

Sup, Phat.

Get yourself an offensive avatar and sig and we can tear poop up in here. Just try not to swear, ever. They don't like that.

But yeah, this place was once the go-to, since WENB has come along and Thomas Goal and co have buggered off, this place isn't too far off what Insight has become.

This was the only avatar I could find. I've also increased my post count by 300% in this thread alone, although post count isn't shown on here so it was all for nothing.

My other post was about an indoor ball for PES4 by the way.

When did WENB sneak up on all of us and rob us of our PESness? They seemed to come from nowhere and get automatic links to Konami so I'm guessing they have someone close to konami who runs their site?

They have this guy called Suff who is a magical man.

His voice sends the children of the world to sleep and he is there to console those in their times of need.

Simply put, you have a few people who are able to form coherent sentences and use a bit of initiative and Konami thought that they'd rather utilise them than try and cultivate the community themselves. Probably a good idea in hindsight, what with considering how cack-handed Konami are, particularly when it comes to their European fanbase.

I've posted a few times on WENB, including a fat ass post in this new Konami section. My train of thought is thus, I've spent the best part of a decade being a full on nerd, posting about a computer game on a forum. I might as well post somewhere that someone from Konami might look at once, even if it is the guy delegated with the job of shredding our ideas and wishlists.

Are you as good at PES2009 as you were at previous games? I still remember your brace with David James against me when after about an hour into the match we both realised I was rubbish.

I may have to pop over to the WENB to post my thoughts but I haven't played enough of the latest game to have an opinion on what needs improving. The lag experienced online is top priority for me however. That and power bars for through balls.

EDIT: We are talking about the news from the konami website which happens to be that WENB has an official feedback forum from Konami. This is big PES news.

It's a shame we didn't have it sooner in the year, we may have had some chance of it changing 2010, it does bode well for the future though...
I get the feeling SB has been side shifted a little...

Nah, Konami being at WENB is the news, but Konami had a big old countdown timer that just led to the opening of their official site, which has minimal info. In other words major blueballs.

Also I haven't played as much PES2009 as in recent games. And yes, I do remember David James and his slinky feet, scything through Atletico or Ajax or whoever. One day, we shall duel again.

At least try and stay on topic guys, if WENB is so great post on there and tell them...

Phatmann said that wenb was stealing folks, I said that I made a post there because Konami are there.

No one is sucking the Konami schlong here.

Infact, Konami being in touch with the comunity is probably the only real piece of news out of this past week

konami only doing it for promotional purposes so everyone is like 'omg!, its gonna be different' then find out all they did was change grass turf.

i really love presentation of pes games but for past 2/3 years, they've let down, i don't really see this being something different unless they create a whole new game engine and improve player movements, ai etc.

but i still reckon come release date there will be far more  than :WORSHIP:.

It's too late for this years title though it is a starting point for the future, I think there has been some shuffling going on regarding how PES is made and 2011 should be interesting...

Now where did you learn to be so cynical?

In all honesty, surely this is a good thing. It means Konami have taken note that their fanbase isn't happy. If they simply let PES fall by the wayside then we would know that they couldn't give two poops about us.

Admittedly our advice isn't going to turn PES2010 into the best football simulation ever crafted by man, but it's a start.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

of course i hope im wrong, would be great 2 have two different great current footie games to choose from but when was last time could say like both pes and fifa were great the same year? i do believe in things there to be broken and finally two great games but i'd rather be realistic than a dreamer. well i'll just wait til i try pes 10 demo to see if they have actually taken much interest in the fans.

this ain't like an attack at pes, its just after the disappointments, I won't believe that the latest pes is good until its a proven fact.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

@aitk3n have you actually played PES2009?
I have put in about 700 hours of play and it admittedly isn't ''da best PES eva!!'' but its not as bad as what people make it to be.
BAL and offline multiplayer are still bags of fun.
Its one of the loosest PES games, the ball doesn't move on rails as apparently as before. But its also one of the simplest to dribble around the defence.
And is also held back by the rigid animations. I want to freak out when a crunching tackle is committed from behind and the victim just drops to his bum.

I still have a good feeling about PES 2010.
Then again, I'm a rabid fanboy.

:CONFUSE: You are joking right? That ball is glued to the players foot, and how you can say it isn't on rails is beyond me. There is no freedom at all, it's as if Konami have completely taken away your ability to control your runs.

BAL is the only thing that made this game bearable for a few games.
