Dont hold your breath lads. Apparently the countdown isn't in game videos. Its more likely a cover star or box-art well atleast thats the word from WENB.

In the UK it was Ronaldo and Owen for PES 2008 and just Messi for 2009 as it was all done out with the Champions League background...

I think it's not. If even the gameplay coding was ready (thing that I really have some doubts about) they'd still wait for the new 09/10 teams to officially join the leagues..

Consider that Serie A still misses a promoted team, so there'll be no point in releasing a game that has a Serie A licence but *not* the real Serie A in it!!

I don't give a F about cover stars man.
Everybody's asking "Oh will it be Torres?", "maybe it's Xavi".... why the hell do you even care about that?
PES 2010 cover could be just black with Konami's logo on it for all I care.
I want real in game videos, I want to see the new animations. Running animations, passing animations, shooting, etc...
I want to see if they changed the freaking camera.
I want to see many things. But one thing I really dont give a toss about is the Cover Stars.

PLEASE focus on what's important guys.

It's not like us wondering who the cover star is going to be will make it so that Konami won't release a gameplay video...

No but at least you can talk about interesting stuff that will make this topic worth it until more official info, videos and pictures start to come out.

I mean.... if I had to chose between discussing about whether or not Konami improved player's fingernails or who the stars cover are going to be......... I'd pick the fingernails subject. Obviously, this is just an example to show you that I couldn't care less about covers...
My mother always told me "if you ain't got nothing nice to say then don't say nothing".... well this applies perfectly here. If you're just saying things to spark up conversation and just to.... basically..... TALK, well then you might as well leave the topic alone until something new comes out from Konami.

I don't mean to be mean, and I'm not trying to attack anybody. But I really enjoy a lot more when we talk about game issues, or impressions, rather than who's gonna be in the cover... eekno?

A gamestation manager today told me that they've been told PES may be available as early as august. I'm not holding my breath but I thought I'd pass it on.

I would LOVE face to face cover with Ronaldo and Messi looking at each other ala Terry/Henry in PES5...which was my fav cover of them all.

Konami love countdowns, dont they?
And if history is anything to go by, this countdown will only lead to another pointless teaser and then another countdown to something that will promise to be more meaningful.
