I read in one of the Japanese site about the Teams in the Game as below:

International teams:
International 59 Teams +7 Classical Teams (22 Licensed)2 new National teams added as Licensed (Maybe not sure roumers: ( Paraguay & USA or Germany & South Africa) !!! :)

English League 20 teams (02 Licensed) Only 2 teams Licensed as usual :(
French League 20 Teams (20 Licensed)
Italian League 20 Teams (20 Licensed)
Dutch League 18 Teams (18 Licensed)
Spanish League 20 Teams (20 Licensed) they got it back :)
Other League A 19 Teams (19 Licensed)
Other League B 16 teams (16 Licensed)
Other League C 20 Teams (none Licensed) :( you can use as Germen League:) !!

This means a total of :
International teams : 66 playable :) 30 none playable :(
Clubs: 153 teams 5 master league teams :)

Hi ,

The German League was never licensed on WE or PES , and Konami have removed the unlicensed Bundus League since WE 2008 or PES 2008.

Not to get off topic about "News & Rumours": [More Questions than Anything]
Any new news on Gameplay besides what we have heard about more fluid dribbling etc. etc., because I am more interested in two things gameplay & online improvements, cuz the wonderful people on this forum make the game better anyway for the PC due to great patches & kitservers etc.:
(1) Is there any news that the controls will be adjustable to manual settings via button control like fifa 09(instead of right stick only)? I believe this would open up soooo much more creative play & enjoyment for true football fans, the ability to put the ball exactly where you want is huge, it would make the game so much better along w/ the already decent A.I. in attack.
(2) Any News on them fixing those awful awful awful Goal NETs, make them Box like KONAMI!!!!!! or give us the ability to change them on the PC
(3) Online, any official news if it will be exactly like PES 6 (I heard some rumours but no official statements), it was great easy interface ablity to choose stadium-weather-settinges etc.

They think the lighting and the realism of the faces is brilliant, amongst a couple of other things.

When you look at those players and they look just as unrealistic as PES08/09, you just can't believe it.

I know what you mean about PES but the things that PES offers over FIFA can be found in PES6 years ago, so why do people still buy every installment after it?
Its because they hope its gonna improve and never deliver. I have to put up my hand and admit that I also buy all the PES games but I know I've been let down everytime.

Aaah that is our problem for some odd reason we tend to think our opinions are the norm and the excepted standard. The world has a population of about 6,706,993,152. What are the chances that even 10 % of those people share our view?

I have friends and family who buy PES religiously and who actually enjoy the game for what it is.

Some people here need to accept that this is the case and stop trying to convince others of what is better or not.


I'm sorry to single out BWA spectre's post but if you look at the last two it is there just to wind people up or get a reaction I mean the one was " FIFA will have 360 movement what will PES have?" if this is not flamebait then I do not know.

Certain people are always critical of PES on here. They seem to ignore the fact 'their football game of choice' is severely flawed in many, many areas.

Seen from the blog that they will be announcing another cover star for pes 2010 sonn, but isnt it obviously going to be torres? He is in the final shot of the trailer with messi, would be odd if it was any one else.

I have always bought the WE version of these games and decided to have a few games lastnight,so i started with WE8LE through to WE10,and it was fun to be reminded of how god the game used to be.I thought that the next gen version from Konami would look like the intro trailer on WE9 with Nakamura taking the freekick,atleast i hoped it would be because for me nothing was impossible from these guys.We hope that this will happen in the non too distant future.

why does konami only give a certain number of national teams, i think it should allow to pick the random teams when you play the cup qualifying modes its silly only being able to choose from 8 african teams then 6 randoms pop up, come on konami pls give us more national teams or ability to make teams to put in the relevent continant

the competitor game from EA is also seriously, i mean seriously, flawed and scripted...not to mention awfully sluggish. It degenerates into button mashing, beutiful football is very difficult to pull off and even then, one of the 6 or more passes you need to create will often be wrong. Wrong body positioning, wrong AI run, wrong control or mistimed touch.

Not to mention the idiotic "jockey" button and pinball bullcrap which results.

Too true mate, I could never understand why Konami do this. I read a rumour in this thread that the International Challenge will be back this year. I hope those teams are available in the exhibition mode particularly for the continental cup competitions. The current format grinds my gears.

Hi elouiht,

I strongly agree , that Konami Should let us be able to select the international teams which are in the game ... it does not make any sense to add teams in the game ( Players DB, FLAGS, location, space in the game ) and you cannot play with them (Selectable) .....


Man PES & WE are the only games on earth that got this stupid idea since WE9 & PES6 where you can play aginst be not with !!!


Why Konami not make them selectable so people from these countries can enjoy playing there countries teams???

Not really. If I was on Fifa-Web for example, constantly trying to convince Fifa players that PES is the better game, then yes, your comment maybe true.

The point is, I wouldnt waste my time or effort. If people cant appreciate the glaring differences in technical realism and physics between the two games, then more fool them. I'm a football person foremost, and a gamer secondary. Thats the difference.

I actually read a post of yours Jack, stating that you would only play Fifa 09 on assisted as you didnt feel, like me, the semi or manual options really work. Fifa 09 on assisted is about as scripted as it gets. I once, just to highlight to a friend, pressed pass 28 times and every time it went to a team-mate without me even having to direct the pass. That's just not my idea of a simulation. All that glitters certainly aint gold in my humble opinion. But each to their own.

I just feel that there are far too many people that come on a Pro Evo site to constantly try to rip the game to pieces. If I was one of those people, I'd be spending my precious time playing Fifa rather than coming on here dissing our game of choice.
